Actually Floyd went down to one knee after hurting his hand in his title defense with Carlos "El Famoso" Hernandez in the sixth round and took a count. That was an official knockdown but not 'really' one if you know what I mean.

To be Honest floyd was coming off long layoff from his shoulder injury and Spad was a week away from his fight .. there not a whole lot you can read into that situation .

3 months?? Is that the definition of long layoff??

Now, suddenly there was a shoulder injury?? The original excuse was he was out of shape.

BTW?? What you see in these 'highlites" are a joke compared to what took place during the full 6 rounds.

Spat beat the tar outta Floyd boy:good That's why Floyd ducked him for over 3 years and then finally made him an "offer" as soon as Spadafora hit REHAB for his alcohol and drug issues which were onset with the arrival of his ex-girlfriend.

BTW?? I have the entire tape and will 1 day, put it out there, well.. HERE(Lucky ESB posters):D

It's all about TIMING, and if we can keep Spat out of jail and away from the curse of his life in Nadine Russo(ex-girlfriend whom he shot in a drunken state after Russo pulled his gun on him) then he may get the opportunity to revive his career. A very talented career which has unfortunately been tarnished and set off track. One might note that ms. russo and the sobriety issues started prior to the Dorin fight and IMO played a very large role in the unsatisfactory performance that Spat delivered there.

Unfortunately?? At the time of this post SPat is yet again in jail awaiting a hearing on a vioaltion of his parole THANKS AGAIN TO MS. RUSSO:good The devil's spawn moved from Pittsburgh to Erie where Spat has been since his release and has been trying to flush his life completely down the toilet.

Spadafora actually filed for a PFA restraining order because Ms. russo threatened to cut off his dick while sleeping and threatned to crash her vehicle into a wall with Spadafora's young son in the back seat!!!
Two days after Spat filed, Russo filed for a PFA and alleged that Spadafora had dragged her by her hair and hit her. Since Spadafora's release conditions SPECIFIED that he is to have no contact with Russo, they jailed him and he is currently awaiting his parole hearing on the matter.

Spadafora has been issued a marriage license in Erie to marry aformer girlfriend and mother of Spadafora's two daughters. Ms. Russo is certainly not very happy about that:good

At the time of that session?? YES, that's why Floyd got beat on and embarrassed. That took place in DEC 99, Floyd refused to dicuss Spat until mid 2003 and finally made an "offer" only two days after Spadafora hit rehab. A ****ing DISGRACE:good

    The facts speak for theselves.

Now, a lot has transpired between then and now and how close Spadafora can be to the form he had then, remains to be seen but HE DID BEAT FLOYD's ASS.

Now, many talk **** about "sparring" and what have you, but PBF sought out Spat, talked immense ****, and got smacked down.

I remember hearing that report the day it happened, on another site. Again, PBf talked a lot of **** calling Kid D Chinese and such and supposedly, KId D did put him down on a body shot.

I didnt see that event but i can tell you that Spadafora did some wonderful early bodywork on Floyd and that's not something PBf seems to enjoy:lol:

but you have to know that its sparring. just because because he got the better of him in sparring dosnet gurantee he would have beaten mayweather in a real match.

    AGREED.

But why did it take 3 years and rehab to get an "offer" for a real fight??   BTW, Spadafora's legal issue's were onset and he couldnt get licensed which prevented the 'fight' from happening and was then jailed. Floyd did what he did because he got what he got:good

Also, there are different variables surrounding "sparring'. Given the circumstances of that day and the amount of **** Floyd talked, that was more of a fight in the gym, than a "sparring" session.

Lucky for Floyd it was a fight in the gym and they didnt just line up a shot at Spat's IBf title in the ring:good Spadafora, out boxed, out fought, and if they went 12?? PBF wasnt likely to see the 12th that day.

    :hi:

Did my Hamed statements really twist you that much??

Uh... I HAVE THE TAPE and that's 99, so NOOB??:nonono :nonono :nonono Sad that you would even try to suggest that ****:-( :-( :-(

You and most of the rest of the world havent seen the tape in it's entirety and what you see on these "highlites' are more like "lowlights" I would caution you against speaking on it with authority when you have not seen it.

Just to give you some CLARITY, it was dec99 3 months after Floyd's last fight and 3 months before his next fight, PBF went to that GYM looking for Spat and it was to test the waters at 35 seeing Spat as the weakest link, not to 'give" Spat some work:lol:

Further?? Just like I told Silver, yes it was sparring, BUT WHY DID IT TAKE 3 years and rehab to get an offer for a real fight??:D

BTW?? When did this become a race issue?? I could give a flying **** about color, it's what happens when the bell rings that matters and THERE HAS BEEN GREAT CHAMPIONS of many races.
Funny though, Floyd was talking a lot of racist **** to Spadafora, before Spat put him in HIS PLACE.

Angel Manfredy?? PLease......... I couldnt stand that dude but PBF and Spat both beat him so he's IRRELEVANT!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, Spadafora's camp made several attempts between 99 and 03 to get a fight with Floyd, PBF appeared on FNF in an interview with Kellerman shortly after the incident and Floyd almost pissed himself on camera saying " I dont want to talk about Spadafora", and over 3 years later but two or 3 days INTO REHAB the fax machine suddenly spit out an offer for the fight:good In reality, PBf should have fought Spadafora in 2000 or 2001 and would have added the IBF lightweight belt to his collection, IF that day was such an "off' day. The proof is in the pudding and not making pudding doesnt prove anything either.

Those facts, a long with all the issues at 40, and 47, show that Floyd hasnt faced the TOP OPPOSITION of his ERA.

All I hope for?? Is that a fighter like Floyd will step up and be willing to fight the best and eliminate any/all questions surrounding guy's he's avoided. Will Spat still be relevant? Hard to say right now, but there's other fish to fry like SSM, Margarito vs Williams winner, Cotto, and possibly HAtton.
