    Hoya had a great gameplan a la Freddie Roach. And it was also competitive due to the way Mayweather fought the fight. He was faster that night and was not trying to beat Oscar to the punch. He was more than happy to play defense and potshot. A more aggressive Floyd could have made it easier.

    YOU REALLY WANT TO TALK ABOUT BEING BLIND , WOW YOU REALLY NEED TO GET YOUR EYES CHECKED FIRST CAUSE NO WAY IN HELL WAS PBF DOMINATING DLH IN THEIR FIGHT HE MAY HAVE WON A FEW ROUNDS YES NO DOUBT ON THAT BUT NO WAY WAS HE THAT AHEAD ON THE FIGHT, I SCORED IT 115-114 DLH. AND ILL WATCH IT AGAIN SO I CAN FEEL RIGHT AGAI CAUSE A 117-111 FOR PBF COME ON YOU MUST HAVE BEEN HIGH ON SOMETHING. PEACE:bbb

    It is for another thread, but I agree with you. No dominating period. Actually, Oscar made it a fight or it would have been a boring chess match. I know a lot of posters disagree, but I would have liked to have seen an immediate rematch back then.

    The bull**** is that Floyd outweighs him by 2-3 divisions

    Who was considered great til Floyd beat them. Or who was even perceived as a huge risk. Only one man 10 years ago. Corrales was given a very good chance to beat him.

    Marquez is by far the most intelligent fighter mayweather has ever fought ability to adjust. De la hoya which I'm sure most will disagree and say he has better boxing i.q. Marquez was getting annihilated in his first fight with Manny and showed ability to adjust. In all delahoya losses including his controversial win over Felix sturm he didn't show ability to adjust and just takes the ass whoopin'. Dela hoya has a great jab, had he used it against Hopkins, mayweather, sturm, and continued with it against Trinidad he would have possibly won those fights ( he didn't beat sturm). Marquez on the other hand is smart enough to adjust much better fighter and higher boxing I.Q.

    Arguably De la hoya, outside of him, probably not but thats based on sheer p4p skillset, dont forget that Floyd has faced men not exactly miles beneath JMM (tho still beneath) but they are bigger & stronger than JMM too & Floyd dealt with them easily on almost all occassions.
