Has Floyd Ever faced anyone as good as Marquez?

The thing is everyone has differnt ways of judging the fight.

 

JMM maybe overall the most talented opponent Floyd has faced, its just too bad Floyd is a natural 140 - 147 lbs and JMM is a natural 130 pounder.

 

I'm not worried about how people label fights. Great big men and great little men have battled since the sport started. It's just that certain fans of certain fighters have built in excuses for the fighter they like and don't like...when this is a fight between two of the very best fighters in the world, and I as a fan/ex-boxer can't let fans belittle this fight because they think this fight is the size difference is like say...Coleman-King Kong Bundy. So what JMM fought at 126 and 130 for so long. He weighed more than 140 for many of those fights. JMM-Floyd is not a big size difference at all. It is a skill difference.

 

Now that I think about it more Floyd and JMM arent too far apart in size. They are naturaly maybe 1 full weight division apart. Lets remember Floyd is NOT a big welterweight. Physicaly I think Floyd fits best at 140 lbs. JMM can do 135 or even 140 lbs especially now that hes a bit older but still I think JMM would be best at 130 lbs. At 147 lbs I cant see JMM being as fast as he is at 130, and I dont think its really fair. They should meet at 140 cause I know Floyd could make that weight and JMM wouldnt have to bulk up as much.

As a professional fighter they should now how to deal with distractions. they happen to everyone, ether personal or professionally, you have to deal with it or boxing is not the sport for you.

Alot of people are predicting this fight to be a passive boring fight between two counterpunchers, but I beg to differ.....
......the difference between JMM and DLH, JMM is'nt afraid to dance with the fire!

 

careful, you'll hear the "Floyd is not a big WW" thing.... they make it seem really fair when its really not. JMM is just 1 bad mofo!

If were talking P4P Rankings at the time of the fight well Yes.

It will be the toughest and most skilled fighter I believe.

BUT and thats a HUGE BUT.

His weight is in issue aswell as JMM being the grand old age of 35.
Having said that PBF has been out of the ring for 2 years also so that plays a part.

 

may rounds in that fight were really close hard fought rounds if i can recall so it wouldnt surprise me to see this score card but u r right i put the wrong num in there it was supposed to say 115-113. sorry if i hurt ur feelings:bbb
