I consider Corrales and Castillo wins over elite fighters on Floyd's resume.

You do realize, of course, that if you are arguing that Oscar was Floyds first win over an elite fighter, that your also arguing that Floyd was a 30 year old, four division champ, rocognized P4P #1 fighter on the sport... without fighting an elite fighter before finaly fighting a 34 year old DLH on a year long layoff?

    Cotto-Judah did 200k.

Cotto-Mosley was the first real PPV success for a Cotto fight.

Cotto-Malignaggi was a smaller production and competing with Hopkins-Tarver on HBO.

Cotto is 4 years younger at 27 years old and just entering his prime fighting years.

Cant compare that to a 31 year old Floyd.

    Im talking about Floyd.

If you are arguing that Oscar was his first elite win, thats fairly weak considering all of his belts, his P4P #1 ranking, and his being in his prime at 30 years old.

On the other hand, if you argue (like I am) that Floyd did have 2 wins over elite opponents in Corrales and Castillo, then you must acknowledge that he is not the PPV draw that Cotta appears to be.

And of course, this suggests that he is full of **** when claiming that a fight with Cotto doesnt do big numbers because Cotto has no drawing power.

And this all leads me to one point and one point only- TAKE THE FIGHT FLOYD! :deal

Thats ridiculous. You have to take age and junture of career into account when comparing PPV numbers.

maybe junture of career but not age it has nothing to do with it....if a fighter as good as Cotto is and Cotto is not NEW.....he is undefeated a very good boxer exciting and all has all of Puerto behind him....Floyd doenst have half of America behind him and still he does 3k Cotto against Zab which pretty much everyone on here wanted to that fight to gauge Cotto only did 200 man......if he was a draw at that point in time RIGHT before Mosley he should have least seen 300 just look at his fan base not just in Puerto either he extends into the US as well. It took Mosley and him to do numbers Cotto needs the bigger name.

Actually De La Hoya did fight cautiously in his fights with Quartay and Trinidad and in the rematch with Mosley.

Why do people hate Mayweather so much? Was it the robbery of Castillo? Is it his chicken **** running style? Is it that he is a ****ing idiot?? Is it that he hand picks oppponents and ducks the dangerous ones>?? Is it because he thinks he is the next SRR?? People say he is slick and a master defense wizard. From what I have seen he holds and runs like a *****.

I was never defending him. Sarcasm bro.... No doubt he has talent but he is not the best P4P. Castillo clearly beat him in the first fight. Stevie Wonder said he had Castillo up by 3 rounds. Ray Charles said he had the fight 114-111 for Castillo.
