Has Floyd hid a vulnerable chin throughout his prime like Roy Jones did?

The thread isn't flawed. It is asking a question, and presents different answers to choose from, and encourages debate on the issue.

There! That wasn't so hard was it? Giving an opinion on the issue at hand is much better than insulting me and whining like a ***** because I asked a question.

Why? Because I made a poll and made several different options for people to choose from? :patsch

Erm wasn't Pac also wobbled against Marquez? ..

You clowns can keep clutching at straws about Floyd's chin if you like but the fact is HE NEVER WENT DOWN, i know that must hurt you but that's just life!! :hi:.

Pac wasn't in anywhere near as much trouble vs Marquez. Watch the fight, Pac doesn't clutch onto his opponent and refuse to let him go so he can un-scramble his senses. Watch the fights and you'll see the difference.

Anyway, this thread isn't about Pac, it's about the events of last night. If you have an opinion on that, post it. If you have more emoticons and fanboy bull**** to post, go elsewhere.

At the end of the day... Floyd's never suffered even a real KD. And managed to survive 2 minutes of a round with a KD after getting hit twice flush with power punches and numerous times after that behind the guard. Shane's been down against someone bigger than him also but has an "iron chin", just saying.

Still can't deny that Pac's been rocked before. He was KOd twice, rocked by Morales and Marquez.

In boxing anybody can be rocked at times; it's having the ability to recover and press on that really counts.

It wasn't terrible. However, you can see him wobble and go back to the ropes.

So your talking like clutching is a bad thing? what was Floyd meant to do exactly? just stand there and let Shane tee off on him so people can see how strong his chin is? Floyd done the thing that EVERY GREAT boxer does and shut down Shane's momentum the best he could, like i said the so called boxers with the "best chins" like Abrahams and Froch have hit the floore while Floyd hasn't so that has to say something about Floyd's toughness, yeah he got buzzed!!.. so what? THIS IS BOXING..no man is gonna go through his whole career without taking a huge shot every now and then, what matters is how you cope with it and Floyd passed with flying colours.

He doesn't have an amazing chin. It's just good. I just don't think he's used to taking big ones at all though, and experience plays a big part in how you take ko power punches.

Any fan that comes away from last night thinking Floyd's chin is suspect is a hater lol. To take a man's best shot, wobble, recover super quickly, and press the action before the round is over shows that Floyd does not have uncle Roger's chin. Floyd is going to beat the shite out of PAc, and Pac's fans know it lol...

Floyd stayed on his feet when hit hard where PAc has been ko'd-TWICE! The roids/hgh has made PAc's chin stronger lol...and Floyd wants to take that away from PAc. Floyd is going to beat the shite out of PAc, and PAc's fans know it now lol...

    Floyds chin is solid.

He was hit by 2 thunderous shots in the 2nd and later on in the very same round ended up with backing Mosley up, after Mosley shot his wad.

Just because he doesnt put his chin out to be hit ala Margarito doesnt mean he is hiding a **** chin. Just that he is alot smarter.

Im with you on this one Zak (and i never am usually). I was watching the fight live thinking DAMN mayweather can actually be rocked badly when someone hits him flush. Mosley Hit Cotto with right hand after right hand in that fight but didnt get that reaction. Maybe mayweather is just not used to getting hit rather than having a less than granite chin.

I don't think his chin is suspect at all. He took two great right hands flush...yes it took his legs, but the first shot landed clean on the chin/side of his face...and the second landed on the temple. Those shots would have rocked the majority of Welterweights...and if it weren't for Mayweathers awareness and ring smarts, he would have been on the canvas. Replace Mayweather with any other top Welterweight and they would have been rocked the same way, Mosley probably would have at least earned a knockdown if he was in with any else.
