I really have no idea, I lean towards no and a come back because thats what most great fighters end up doing if they retire before age 35 or so. In order for him to really be considered the greatest like he says he is he needs to come back and fight several more big fights at either 140 or 147 lbs. As one of the greatest of all time he simply isnt done. Come back and take out the top welterweights around and defend the crown against top 10 competition for a few years then maybe he will be the best.

No. He's waiting for the Welterweight dust to settle and then he'll fight the champ

He'll be back. He'll miss the spotlight, the money, the recognition, or something else will drive him to return. It might be a repeat of a situation similar to Leonard-Hagler.

no theres absolutely too much unclaimed money out there..

    for 2-5 months work

oscar gets him 30+ mil minimum
    manny gets 20+ mil minimum
    hatton gets 20+ mil minimum
    cotto gets 10-15+ mil minimum
    margarito gets 10-15+ mil minimum

theres way too much money floating aroudn for him not to fight

I think you've hit the nail bang on the head there. There's too many contenders atm so he's gonna see who's the best and fight them in a last one off payday.

If pacman beats oscar, floyd will fight pacman.

If margo cleans out division, floyd will fight margo.

If cotto cleans out division and avenges margo, floyd will fight cotto.

Those are the 3 options he has. If one of these happens, i have almost no doubt in my mind that floyd will return to the ring.

People calling him a ***** for not fighting margo are stupid...Margo has yet to solidify himself as THE man in the welterweight division...Once he does, then you guys will have a case and he will return.
