"What is the first year really like? What about field days, galley work, and qualifications"

You need to have those answers before you go in, because most guys don't have a clue what they are getting into with the duty days and extra work.

That's must have been a long time ago. I served with the a guy who had dentures. It was pretty funny to see him take them out to clean them when he got brownies stuck in them.:rofl
