    No way. Maybe in terms of achievement you can make a case for Mayweather, but in terms of talent I still consider prime roy to be superior.

    Floyd Mayweather's durability ranks him high on list in any category.
    Roy Jones had such athleticism, and power in his prime you never had to see him in the trenches with someone that could really hurt him.
    So we don't know what he could have done.
    I would think Mayweather is one of the best all around fighters to come along in a very long time.

    it's close, but NO.

    people seem to remember Roy for his post-Ruiz era, but seem to forget how the man rarely lost a ROUND in over a decade, much less a fight. In his prime, his speed, power, and athletism was way superior to PBF.

    Floyd does have much better defence and is more skillfull. remember that Floyd is only 30 years old as well. When Roy was 30, he was just as undefeated, and was lb4lb king with performances that were much more entertaining than Floyd's.

    If Floyd were to fight a couple of more times, to say, Cotto and Williams, then he would make a good case for sure.

    Floyd=titles at 130-154
    Jones=titles at 160-Heavy

    Jones had more athleticism than anyone else I've ever seen. He also dominated opponents much more easily than Floyd has.

    The biggest thing is, I think it's harder for someone to go from 160-Heavy then it is to go from 130-154. A lot more fighters have done what Floyd has in that regard.

    From a technical standpoint, Floyd is better.
    Athletically, Jones is superior.

    Who was more impressive to watch at his best? To me, RJJ hands down

    I'm a big PBF fan but I still have Jones ahead of him Jones is a top 20 ATG and PBF is a top 30 ATG. If PBF beats Cotto we can re-visit this topic.

    His resume is comparable (Jones is better at the top, PBF's got a little more meat).

    Jones was more dominant. And BTW guys, Jones went from 154 to HW. He won no titles at 154, but that IS where he started.

    Dont let Orishman in here.

    Roy Jones isn't in his Top 100. And I dont even think Mayweather has broke top 75.
