    This is close.

I'd prefer to see the end of Mayweather's career. Roy was KTFO.

I think that if Mayweather beats Cotto, then he's definitely above RJJ.

Wins over Corrales, Castillo, G. Hernandez, De la Hoya, Hatton >>> Wins over Toney, Hill and very green Bernard Hopkins.

Combine Roy's resume gaps (fights didn't happen with top Euros) and the ktfo problem, gotta go with Floyd. There's still time for Floyd to notch more top wins and still time for him to lose, but the former seems more likely than the latter.

    Wow the poll is close.

And if you consider that PBF is still at his peak and Roy is shot to ****, i doubt the pro-roy half of the esb population can argue that even if Floyd hasnt overtaken Roys greatness, he sure will do in the future!

Absolutely not. People have a short memory if they think PBF hassed Jones. Jones was P4P top 3 for a full decade running, and beat more higher quality opponents than PBF has. Yeah, he's lost a few fights on the backswing of his career, but that shouldn't take anything away from his peak, which there's almost nothing Mayweather could do to surpass unless he gets very busy very quickly.

That's Right, PBF has only been P4P best for only three years and hasn't faced the opposition Roy has faced. I still think Floyd is a great fighter with great D!

no he hastn passed him yet. RJ has won a piece of the heavyweight crown, for FLoyd to have the equivalent of that he needs to beat the Middleweight Champ.

And where does eveery1 get off saying that PBF is more skilled than RJ?

I think that Roy has some under rated opponents, like Griffin, Ruiz, Tarver and Hill for example. In comparison Floyd has some over rated opponents like Gatti, Baldomir, Ndou, and then guys like Brussles and Mitchell as well who were simply never going to win. Roy had his weak defenses also maybe more so infact, but Roy made more defences, more championship fights then Floyd. Roy beat more ATG fighters also.

Exactly, head 2 head Roy was far and away the superior fighter.
