I voted he hasn't. I have PBF in the top 35, and Jones right inside the top 25. I agree that PBF has a slightly deeper resume, and feel that Jones resume is better at the top (3 ATG to 1 ATG). But simply looking at "fighters in the ring", I think Jones is better, more dominant, and tougher to beat Prime for Prime.

He beat John Ruiz to win a belt. Interesting and notable accomplishment, but must not be overrated.

I agree....but the only ATG on PBF's resume is an older DLH. I rate that win as a good one because I think DLH isn't shot, but no where near prime, AND because DLH is alot bigger than DLH.

On the same token. we all hate Ruiz, but he was a top 5 HW at the time, and he was MUCH larger than Jones, and Jones beat him easier than PBF beat DLH IMO.

No way. I like PBF... But Rjj's accomplishments and dominance of the sport are greater.

imo de la hoya is'nt even an ATG, hof'er no doubt. the man lost all of his big fights, though he did dominate all the B to B+ fighters put in front of him. anyway he was still a big win for floyd as he was the bigger man, good skills too.

calculate percentage of fighter's weight theres a reason the weight classes are separated by 3, then 4, then 7, then 15 as they get bigger. :patsch...if its too difficult to comprehend, send me a pm

Yeah....that realy helps your post. First it was # of weight classes...now what is this? WHo gives a **** how they are sepreated. What does that have to do with anything you or I posted?

NOthing changes the fact that Roy went up almost 50 pounds...Floyd moved up about half of that, 24.

Am a very big PBF fan but I think Roy is still ahead. But It could change in one fight.

legacy wise - I'd say so. He's fought a better overall quality of opposition. Jones, fair or not, gets docked for fighting in a relatively weak LHW era. I don't think that he gets enough credit for unifying that division and everything he did before he made the jump to 175.

All of that being said, Roy Jones is the singular most impressive fighting talent I have ever seen. Physically (power, speed, etc) he is head and shoulders above Mayweather.
