How does ward get into the top 10 but not Froch. Can someone explain how that works?

how can that be when there's no legit champion at SMW, he lost to kessler, had a debatable win over dirrell..and now people want to talk him up over his first solid win since before jermain taylor?

I think it is a bit strange that most people have no SMWs in their p4p list, but have several MWs. I mean, its not like the MW division is a more talented division than the SMW at the moment? Anyway, when the Super 6 tournament is finished there should be no excuse to not have the winner in the top10 p4p and the other finalist in top10-top15.

i agree with part of that.

the SMW tournament is here because calzaghe retired, kessler was seen as the successor, didn't cut it, and that division is up in the air - which isn't a bad thing with the tournament happening.

but it's madness ranking any of the super 6 fighters in the P4P list now.

i think people gravitate towards big PPV fights to rank fighters too much.

I think he has. I posted this list about a week ago and he's definitely done more than Ward/Bradley/Donaire(even though I think Ward would beat him) so I cant see why he doesnt deserve a place. HEADBANGER actually put it well, if Ward had Froch's wins not only would he be in the Top10, he'd probably be between 3-5.

Let's not talk about me. I demolished the CLR Interim champion at a catchweight. It's not a big deal though. I was just doing my job. Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh, it's nothing personal.

'one win doesn't get you in the top 10' - you are describing andre ward to a tee their with that disgraceful hometown, headbutted win in joakland with your hypocritical comment :nut :rofl

even a journey man like bika made ward look like complete **** in his home town last night :deal

froch has victories against pascal, taylor (in america), dirrell, and abrahams (in finland) and lost a hometown decision in COPENHAGEN in a fight of the year candidate :deal

log off, you are a delusional clown

I hadn't even though about it, but on reflection his record is certainly good enough. Most P4P rankings have an American bias though so I doubt he actually will.

It really is not a given... Say that Abraham by some miracle finds a way to win the last two fights in the Super Six, then I would be hard pressed putting him in the top ten.
And if he beats Johnson in the final, then Johnson would not be seen as a top 10-15 fighter.

Just remember a few weeks back, when there was a thread about people's own p4p rankings, and lots of people had Martinez and Williams in top 5. Some also had Pavlik in it. But that was before the Martinez-Williams fight of course.

Yup he has done enough for me.

Some have Khan,Bradley, bute and doniare in their list. Froch has a better resume than all these IMO. Is he every1s cup of tea? No. Has he done enough to be a top 10 fighter. Yes.

Like 1 poster said, if ward would have beaten AA, Pascal, Taylor and dirrell the Americans on here would be going crazy saying he is a top 5 fighter, let alone a top 10
