i wouldnt rate ward or froch as top 10, but i see where you're coming from. this tournament is still a padora's box and nobody is a clear favourite. i say let's keep all them out of the top 10 until they prove themselves - because nobody has really made their mark yet.
He gets into my top 20. As much as I dislike Ward's constantly fighting in Oakland, refereeing help and hometown judging, his win over Kessler was a very comfortable one against the man to beat in the division at the time. Now I love the cobra, he's exciting and a good personality to have in top level boxing, but; His win over Pascal can only be used in hindsight as Pascal was not rated at the time. Taylor was a good win, but Taylor was not pound for pound material either. Also, Froch was the naturally bigger man against Abraham, so it doesnt carry as much clout in a pound for pound sense. It was an exceptional performance though. They are both right next to each other in my list, but Ward has the slight edge, as he has one great win, while Froch has 2/3 very good wins. Im saying this as a Froch supporter by the way, just to prove my integrity
:deal froch is easily p4p hes also got the biggest balls out of any fighter will fight anyone anywhere
put your flag away. froch gets top 10 for balls and making the most of his opportunities, but that's all
How about you do a little research into Froch's condition and circumstances getting to the venue before posting uneducated bull****.
Definitely top 10 IMO, constantly fighting against such quality opposition just shits over most other fighters out there.
rubbish, it matters what the opponent goes on to do, not just what they have done at the time, pascal doesnt count because he wasnt rated at the time? are you serious?
Maybe top 20. He lost to Kessler and IMO lost comfortably to Dirrell. He was behind against Taylor going into the 12 as well. The Abraham win was impressive but we're also talking about a guy who just got mopped against Dirrell. Keep in mind that P4P isn't just about securing a 'W', it's also about your actual performance. Hopkins, for instance, easily beat Jones but was taken out of the ring P4P list since I guess they felt it just wasn't an impressive performance. With that said I like Froch and I commend him for taking on probably the toughest recent schedule then anyone else in the sport, I just don't think he's P4P material based on what I've seen.
How the **** is Wlad Klitschko on that list? Take him the **** off. Eddie ****in Chambers? Sam Peter? Did you ****in see Chagaev? Man **** that.
