Chageav, Peter, and Chambers put together are worse than 1 Abraham.

How the **** are Chambers, Peter, and Chagaev good fighters?

Would you rate Joe Calzaghe's win over Jeff Lacy higher than Roy Jones' win over Bernard Hopkins?

    I disagree.

Chagaev was a good contender, beat Valuev before Haye.

    Chambers was/is a good contender.

Probably should have not mentioned Peter there though I admit.

Abraham is not an established quality Super middle. For me he's always been a very good middle, but he looked average to me Vs Dirrel and Taylor.

Thus I see the win as a great performance. One of the best by a fellow Brit in years. The best since Calzaghe-Lacy. But its not enough for Froch to crack my personal pound for pound top 10.

no because john didnt go on to do anything else, the question is "has he done enough"? erm pascal was his first major win and you definately have to consider that seeing as what pascal went on to do in less than a year of losing to froch, obviously we werent clambering to put him in because that was his first test, he has since passed many more.

one good win doesnt warrant p4p talk, but many do, which is why this thread is in existence now. pascal was one of those wins, it was only two ****ing years ago.

id appreciate it if you knew what you were talking about before talkng about it. i dont see anyone disagreeing with me here except you.

Let me clarify further what I'm saying.

Froch has a great win over Pascal. Pascal is very highly rated pound for pound, and is so by me as well.

However, Pascal's success came after losing to Froch.

As unfortunate as that is for Froch, it means for me he doesnt move above or near Pascal in a pound for pound sense.

Im not saying its not a great win. If Froch beat Pascal in his next fight the exact same way, he would be at 5 in my pound for pound list in a heartbeat.

He didnt though, he beat him before Pascal was rated anywhere, and Pascal's success didnt come at super middle either.

Im not talking about performances, I'm talking about pound for pound ratings and results.

As for your question, I have not seen Jones' win over Hopkins. Calzaghe finished Lacy as a top level fighter though, so I obviously hold that in high esteem.

I agree that Abraham probably isn't the best example, but if you put it into perspective...

Unlike Chambers and Chagaev who stood RIGHT at Wlad's range, showed no lateral mobility, and basically just used a highguard against the hardest puncher at heavyweight, at least Abraham carried the THREAT of power.

Chambers beat Dimetrenko...a guy no better PFP than Taylor.

And he beat Peter, a guy no better PFP than Miranda.

Chagaev went life and death with Valuev, and honestly I don't even think he won the fight. I think it was a draw at best.

If Froch beat Pascal the exact same way tomorrow, he'd be in my top 10, no doubt.

However, Froch beat him two years ago, thus the result cant be used to move Froch further up pound for pound ratings now.

People forget that when Froch fought Kessler, his flight to Copenhagen was cancelled 3 times and that Froch didnt even get into the country till a few days before, only to then have to catch up and speak to the press etc. So his preparations were heavily disrupted.
This is all very forgotten. Froch has travelled well, in 5 world title fights he has fought abroard 3 times

That's what I thought. How can you have Bute above Ward and I'm assuming Froch? And Froch at #4?
