Has Froch vs Woods ever been mentioned?

I know Clinton was abysmal against Tarver but he could soon have a World Title again at LHW. Froch could have up to 2 belts at SMW after his next fight against whoever it may be.

How big or appealing would this fight be if they both had belts and decided on a catchweight???

Surprised neither has called each other out especially Froch as Clinton is still active unlike Joe who he wants to fight.

Lack of TV interest would possibly rule this fight out but I would like to see it.

I also think the 2004-2005 Woods could beat the current Cobra.....

    Good thread.

Personally i think any version of Froch would beat any version of Woods.

When Carl fights someone who comes forward, he is much more effective - and the honourable, but workmanlike efforts of Woods would be countered and out-boxed by Froch imo.

The cobra needs to drop the machismo and get back to boxing like his early days.

As long as Woods moves down, because Froch has always mentioned he doesn't want to move up, or at a catch weight.

Woods defo at the end of his career he struggled with Elvir Muriqi and had to really grit it out. IF woods gets a belt hes surely looking at maybe a couple of fights and one of them he will want to have as a money spinner possibly against a name in the US. Cant see him facing Froch at any stage

I think if Woods recaptures the IBF strap then it may happen- doubtful though. I think should Pascal win against Diaconu, then that could serve as a nice bit of bait for Froch to move up. It's a rematch we'd all like to see and could also make Froch a two weight champ. I don't see it though- Froch has said numerous times that he doesn't wanna fight @ LHW. It's a shame because he could be effective at the weight but he's the one getting puched in the head so he can make the best decisions for himself.

It would be a good fight.Woods has fought at super middle(not for years but he has)I would certainly watch it.I think Froch would stop him,he is the one with the belt and is full of confidence Woods has failed badly in his 2 really big fights where as Froch has looked great.I think the occasion gets to Woods.

A rematch with Pascal for the WBC LHW title seems more feasible.

Doesn't matter, Cloud will be the first to legitimately crack Woods' chin IMO.
