Yeah but I'm ready to forgive him if he takes Joyce to his next fight.

I never cared for him, although I did start to like watching him when he changed his style against Wilder. Since then he has become the ultimate ducker/cherry picker and I just don't respect that

Unless you refer to Duckson Fury, I'm not sure who you're talking about. Thanks.

How can anyone be a ‘fan’ of any boxer that is so inactive, no matter who they are, who they duck, or what they say ?

I liked him for awhile but his act is getting old.
This isn't professional wrestling, if he wants to be a boxer then he should box and can the trash talk.
Not to mention the 70/30 ask then bailing after he got it makes me think the guy isn't serious. Fury might be better suited as a YouTube star.

Everything Fury has done in the last year he has been pulling his whole career. His whole career is a microcosm of what is wrong with boxing and why it is dying.

As a boxer, yeah I'm still a fan. I just love seeing how the guy performs in the ring. Obviously I'd prefer it be against better competition than a guy he beat twice over a decade ago, but it is what it is.

As a person though? I was never really a fan, but that's largely because I usually try to disregard a boxer's personality in considering whether I like them or not. If I let personality dictate who I liked and didn't like in boxing, I wouldn't have many boxers I'd like. I realized not long after getting into this sport that most of these guys probably aren't the types that should be role models to anybody. Sure, there are nice guys, but they're way outnumbered by the ones who beat their wives, get involved in criminal activity and just in general are shitty to their fellow man.

Also, I've only really been deep into boxing for about two years now, but I was aware of him from the day I got into it. Funnily enough, the night I got into boxing was the day he and AJ were announced to be fighting each other. I was up all night looking into these guys and others and I fell asleep that morning not long after reading the news that the fight was in jeopardy because of a judge ruling he owed Wilder another match. Only a fan of the sport one day and it was just enough time to see an undisputed fight be called off. So over the next few months I watched fights from him and many other people, and his fight with Wilder ended up being the second event I watched live. After his win I remember thinking he was a pretty cool guy and found him singing after the fight pretty funny, and until the retirement shenanigans that's pretty much all I knew about the guy's personality. The stuff with the Whyte fight is when I got exposed to the more irritating parts of who he is, but again, it isn't enough to make me dislike the guy as a boxer.

That being said, I do find his recent antics really, really annoying. But it hasn't been enough to keep me from watching him fight. If he and Usyk do face off I'll be rooting for Usyk, but that has nothing to do with who he is, I just like Usyk better as a boxer, always have and always will.

I used to go to his early fights and was a massive fan. Fed up with all the drama and bull **** since becoming a champ. I wouldn't mind that if he was defending regularly against the best. But his run since toppling Wlad nearly a decade ago has been awful. When he made the 3rd Chisora fight I gave up on him. I still haven't watched a second of that joke of a fight, nor will I. His fight with Braun Strowman wasn't as farcical.

He had the chance to write a fairytale comeback after his return vs Wilder. Quite rightly, he gained a lot of plaudits, and became a frontman for overcoming mental health and addiction. He went up a lot in my estimations. He seemed more humble and likeable, and dare I say, even a role model/inspiration to some. If a fat gypsy with mental health issues can turn their fortunes around, then others can use that as inspiration. Good on him. All he had to do was continue putting in the hard graft, cut the crap talk, and fight the best fights out there. Win, lose or draw, he would have gained immense respect for coming back, and giving his all against the best out there. Instead, he pisses around and quite clearly chooses to avoid a fighter he could lose against. Lots of fighters avoid, but not many turn down 70/30 for a super fight to cement their legacy. Especially, when he keeps banging on about Usyk being a midget middleweight. Fury has lost the majority of the fans that he won over on his return, and it is completely his fault. I doubt much will change that unless he fights Usyk or possibly Joyce this year. AJ means nothing, as he is a shadow of his former self.

Was a huge fan up to the Usyk duck. Fury is a clown.
