Also has there ever been a fighter who did nothing in the sport of boxing, yet got so much attention? Has he beaten a future Hall of Famer?

he still has time to, he is only 34.

by comparison, joe calzaghe didn't even make a decent defence until he turned 34, and he is now a hofer himself (though by backdoor method).

What a shock! Berol brings up Calzaghe on a thread that has nothing to do with him.

Calzaghe beat Eubank, who's on the ballot this year and one of the favourites to get elected, when he was 25. After Steve Collins ducked Joe,

Fell that butthurt flow through you Berol :hi:

on the ballot, therefore categorically NOT HoF, already a fail comment. not to worry, you can always pick a 40something instead.

you'll need to describe your pain of your failed comment better.
So that I can understand your failed feeling of using beating a short notice faded losing stand-in non-hofer from 2 divisions away, as an example of beating a prime hofer.

perhaps if 3G shadowboxes himself and wins then that might qualify, as long as doing so makes him a future HoFer....then he'll have beaten a future HoFer.

He can't unless future hall of famers are willing to fight him.

Sturm, martinez ducked golovkin for years , now he's ducked by cotto, canelo, quillin , I just hope lee and then cotto/canelo fights happen and I'm sure he'll win both fights if it happens.

He tried to get Martinez and Sturm to face him when they had titles and they wouldn't and now Cotto who beat Martinez doesn't seem interested

No one at 154 is HOF

No one at 168 is unless you count Ward who hasn't been fighting there

Not every fighter is blessed enough to find themselves surrounded by HOF options

I mean he has beaten quite a few top guys in his division all by stoppage all the while hardly losing rounds. It's not like GGG is ducking anyone at his weight while pursuing his worst options while looking like a bum

He's been dominant at a good level of comp. he hasn't faced a guy favored to beat him or near his level but Ward is really it
