Being British I have followed Ricky's fight journey right from the start. During his rise to world class level his fellow brit Junior Witter always seemed to bad mouth him and even to his face after bouts. This always pissed me off and quite rightly it did the same to Ricky and made Hatton to agree he'd never give Junior what he wanted and get the big pay day. Sound familar...yes it does, Ricky has done the same in recent years about Floyd but only with humour. He will have to be ready for Floyd's revenge trash tour for a few months ahead.
apart from when he sed he was gonna stand toe to toe with oscar, remember it was gonna be a massacre a bloodbath he was gonna ko oscar!.....but that didnt quite happen did it.oh wait didnt he say the exact same thing b4 the baldomir fight aswell?
Well, he's backed it up more than most fighters. You guys need to know that a lot of talk is to hype up a fight!
Who cares about Junior Witter?, if Hatton accepted to fight Floyd then this proves that all the talks about him being "Scared" of Witter is absolute JUNK.
Hatton has not done a Witter IMO. Witter was calling out Hatton whilst he held no kind of championship belt of note for years. Hatton has been indicating he would like to fight Floyd since he beat Kostya (although not taking it until now) and was the genuine light welter champ as a result. In other words Hatton could be understood for wanting Floyd, Witter on the other hand just has a personal beef with Hatton. Witter merely sat on Hatton's coat tails in order to get some sort of credibility. Witter needs a good performance vs Vivian to start cementing his own history. If he wins then maybe a Hatton Witter bout may be something WORTH considering.
so floyd fans say he backs up what he says... the follows that up with "yeah .. he dont have to ko someone when he spends 2 monthes saying he will because its only hype.." ... thats what we're all trying to tell you guys.. hes just a hype job ...
Witter has basically acted like Herbie Hide when he had that WBO strap from '97-'99, badmouthing Lewis all the time in a desperate hope to get a slice of the bigger pie. He even had the nerve to say that Lewis vs Holyfield wasn't a true unification bout because he wasn't involved. That is 'doing a Witter'.
