actually magee hurt hatton even worse in the 2nd round after knocking him down in the 1st.

 

i don't think that phillips and tackie had him hurt as bad as magee.

 

Merchant said in the Judah fight telecast that he was down on one knee with excrutiating pain from that left hand on Hernandez' forehead but he was just daydreaming cause Floyd never went down, just turned his back and was given a standing count - maybe Carlos Hernandez' wife could have helped Floyd cause she is said to be a psychologist and worked with her husband so that he could have fought through pain ( and that worked since Hernandez fought 12 rounds and with a broken nose, had the decency of not hitting Floyd when he damaged his hand too). Not officially, Floyd went down from a left that threw him off balance against the corner in the first against Chicanito Hernandez and should have been given a count ( he also knocked down Hernandez and the ref didn't give the californian a count either, maybe to make it up) and of course, against Judah in the second round...
