Has Hatton fought a 1st class fighter in their Prime? His best win are against 2 old and washed up former champions. Did Hatton ever fight a top fighter in their Prime?

I agree 100%, but I'm starting to get a little confused. "Floyd will constantly land his precise shots on Hatton", "Hatton has not fought an A fighter in his prime" - While all true, still, with Hatton in your avator, your still a Hatton fan, right? And will at least be rooting for him against Mayweather?

    Or have I gathered wrong?

Castillo was washed up though. This fight kind of remind me of a prospect fighting his 1st world class fighter. We'll see if he belongs in the top lbs for lbs fighters in the world or if he even in that class. We'll see if he real or is he fake. We'll see how Hatton does this Saturday.

Do you guys think he's over rated for not fighting an A class in 43 pro fights?

even if hatton does get beat on saturday night, and it is a close decision within two or three rounds,or even if its stopped on cuts can the people on here appreciate that he is a top class fighter, truly elite for the light ww anyway.he'll not be a fake in the slightest if beat admirably, same goes for pbf if he gets knocked out by a hatton hook.

Tszyu was not in his prime but he wasnt at all washed up either, as he showed only months before against Mitchell, his skils were lethal. Tszyu simply had ring rust/wasnt fight fit - a lack of rounds in the prior years in combination with his age, as well as possibly a natural weakness in his game, meant that Hatton could just simply wear him out with his infighting - a very, VERY draining fight. After 8 Tszyu was gassed and Hatton could throw him around the ring.

I think Tszyu lost because of ring rust and he was injury prone for his whole career that it took a toll on him at the end of his career. I will be interested to see how Hatton does with an A class fighter thats in his prime.

Yeah he just retired afterwards because he wasn't washed up.

He had 18 months out of action because of three critical injuries. He fought one bout before Ricky after the 18 month layoff, and it was Sharmba Mitchell.
