No. He hasn't...the #1 doesn't always fight the true #2 around his weight every fight or the very best competition...been like that for decades now...but his opponents have been good enough to keep him at #1...that is according to the experts.

So the bottom line is...Mayweather's career is leagues better and more meaningful than Hatton's....

The only true "bum" Floyd has fought since 2005 is Bruseles. I can't bring myself to say Gatti was a bum...shop worn, downhill, outmatched, misguided come fight time....yeah...but Mayweather sure made him look like a bum...he tends to make his opponents look worse than what they are...

I wouldn't be surprised if Hatton retires after his ensuing beat-down (therefore avoiding Witter, again (for another thorough beat-down)

..can't wait to say Cherri-O to the likes of David "wiki" UK on December 9th:happy:happy:happy

I guess you could call Collazo an A- or B+ type fighter, other than that I don't think so.

Tszyu was in his prime when Hatton beat him. At that time, Tszyu was high in the P4P list, around #3 or so.

Zoo was a red hot favourite to beat Hatton and NOBODY was saying he was shot BEFORE the fight. Note that Zoo was NOT a former champion when he fought Hatton

Castillo had recently beaten Diego C and Hatton was only a marginal favourite to win. Plenty tipped Castillo.

He was a fresh 35 years old who only had 32 fights. He was the favorite against Hatton , ranked by most at #3 in the P4P at the time he fought Hatton and 6 months prior to that fight, he koed a very good version of Sharmba Mitchell.

And the only reason that it was his final fight was because of Hatton. If he, he would have still fought more.

Tszyu made it clear prior to the fight with Hatton that he was at his very best and that the 35 yr old Tszyu would have beaten the crap out of the 25 yr old Tszyu.

don't forget, how many big names were there in the light-welterweight division? The only fighter apart from Tzsyu who would be classed as an A fighter in that division is Junior Witter, and it's well known that Hatton didn't want to fight Witter because he wouldn't make as much money and he wanted to fight in America.

When Hatton stepped up and fought Collazo, he was still a big name in the welterweight division, and considered as one of the best. Don't forget that he was doing well in the fight against Moseley until he damaged his hand in the 3rd or 4th round. It's easy to disregard a fighter once they've been beaten.

Mayweather has fought A fighters, but you could argue that he ducked many, and that most he fought were not in their prime (eg De La Hoya), or not the best fighters in the division. Don't get me wrong, Floyd has achieved far more, but it's easy to start down playing achievements in hindsight.

There is no point making a well rounded non-bias post like this with the scavengers around mate.

    GOD DAMN you Hate Hatton!

    :clap::clap::clap:

Always a great choice to post some of his opponent's records....I like to post how he always had Parris and Vann as his ref too sometimes...

There will be no counter replies to your post because you ****ing KILLED it.

That's how it works here...you kill it, and the thread starts getting buried.
