Seems like a pretty big generalization.

The skybox numbers refute this. According to the company, the Haye vs. Valuev fight got 800 K buys. Eight hundred thousand in the UK is pretty significant, considering there are only 61 million residents. It almost as much as Lewis vs. Tyson, which was huge in the States.

MMA types just can't wait to bury boxing. I think it shows a great deal of insecurity. Why can't the two sports co-exist?

Are the 'American writers' you're referring to writing in equivalent media to the Mail or Mirror? Otherwise you're not really comparing like for like. I mean, that Daily Mail article doesn't even have a byline, it's a quick hash up story off the wires, it hardly qualifies as an 'article'.

Drawing conclusions about an entire country from coversations with a small segment of ones own friends is quite literally foolproof. This is irrefuatble scientific fact we're facing here people.

It doesn't have a byline because it was published by a staff writer, obviously. As I said, there are similar articles that appear in both the Guardian and the Mirror. You can look them up if you care to take the time. Just do a simple google search on Haye and Klitschko fighte negotiations.

Also, I think you're getting a bit off point. I was posing a question to you, a resident of the UK...are you not? You'd know better than I what the press is saying. What I have seen and posted links to are generally generic articles that protect Haye. Is this inaccurate? Are there journalists that are lambasting him. That was my question to you. You're really not helping resolve anything by posing more questions.

The Tabloids tends to gobble up Haye's nut-sack.
BBC on the other hand takes pot-shots and jabs at him constantly for his BS.

    that's some serious nob-gobbling.
apparently, reading this, the klitschko talks broke down because they couldn't agree on German TV rites, despite the fact that it's common knowledge that it was a dispute over British PPV rites.
The article is technically 'unbiased' as it doesn't point the finger or attempt to assign blame but in doing so is completely absolving Haye of ALL complicity.
