It was obvious the lack of sparring for a month before the fight hindered him in the ring. You can do all the running/padwork/skipping whatever you want, but the best training comes with sparring. His reflexes were a bit off and he seemed to have slight stamina issues early on, but apart from that it was a job well done. Lets hope he signs Wlad up for an ass whooping next.

This fight actually explains a lot. Now i Know why he has shitty stamina. He does not breath while throwing punches. It's actually very very bad, he losing not only a lot of stamina with that haymakers but also he is losing power.

Did you just predict that his chin and stamina would be worse? Or did you believe you had seen it in his fights? I think his chin as proved to be at least as good at heavy. He's been caught with a few and not looked at all troubled yet, however, I don't think he'll brush off a solid 1-2 from Wlad as easily. What about the stamina? It doesn't look that much different really does it?

Not when he is talking the big game, but playing the little game. Not when he is fighting guys like Ruiz. To me, he did what he was supposed to do. He is that much better than Ruiz. But fight the guys who he spent all that time calling out. That's what I'd like to see. Until then, he is merely doing less than what is expected of him.

neither. I expected him to have the same chin and stamina at HW that he had at CW but I figured they would be solicited more thus highlighting those weaknesses. But they haven't been solicited more, so obviously I was mistaken.

then again he beat a 38 year old Ruiz who looks like he's seen better days. I wouldn't say that this version of Ruiz is any better than say today's version of Barrera. Actually he's probably worse. That's why I struggle to give Haye too much credit.

Also, I didn't see the whole fight, so I'm assuming that since Haye ktfo Ruiz in the 9th, he didn't gas. I could be wrong

No. He will always be a pretender at HW until he steps in the ring and beats a klitschko

For beating ancient, useless John Ruiz,or gigantic but useless Valuev,or Cliff Couser 2nd round ko victim Monte Barrett? He has to beat a real, live body first.

No he hasn't, He is "Champ" and hasn't fought anybody good yet, you know someone that has an offense. . After he fights and wins against one of the following: Klits, Peter, Povetkin, Chambers, Arreola, Tua, Thompson, Adamek, Solis. Beat one of those guys and you will start gaining some respect. Until then you are just blowing lotsa hot air.
