Has Jeffrey Horn surpassed Tszyu, popularity wise in Australia? Prime vs Prime

    Tszyu was never that big of a star in Australia and it seems like Horn is picking up lots of traction.

    We all know Zoo got a bogus win against Zab in 2001. Still, he was a good fighter.

    Not sure... However, Tszyu was popular outside of Australia. Horn not so much.

    Pretty much this. He's popular now here in Oz maybe more so than KT because he's a homegrown Aussie but has long way to go to catch up to KT overseas.

    I don't even know who Jeff horn is. I just know th a Pac got robbed in Australia against Anthony Mundeen!! Lol

    Know in all seriousness, I think Kangaroo Jack is more popular than both Aussies!

    Jeff Horn fought a legend in Pacquaio . This captured the imagination of
    the public like Fenech did with Azumah Nelson rematch. Horn had also
    has the modern day advantage of social media and he had the Queensland
    gov behind help promoting and pushing the fight and all the local TV network
    and papers. Tszyu never got his local superfight in Australia.

    While Mike Katsidis was testing himself against real champions, Australia was busy making heroes out of the likes of Danny Green. That's what Aussie stardom is worth.

    And I'm no Zoo fan. My comments aren't to take the bait, but more to use the thread to lampoon the boxing industry down under.

    K we all know it was man. That was BS and it sounds a tad mean trust me but I liked what Zab did to Nady. I didn't want Zab to seriously hurt him, but that was a dumb stoppage!!

    Don't mention the likes of Green or Mundine in a Horn thread please. Green soiled his pants at the thought of fighting Hugo ****ing Garay whilst Horn (and Tszyu,Katsidis) are/did take on the best.
