Has Joke Calslappy's opponents been nobodies? Or does he just make them look like ..

    nobodies? With the exception of BHOP who was, what? 42-43 years old when Joe fought him? What have his other opponents accomplished? What makes them GREAT wins?

    Im just curious to know cuz it seems that Calzone feels Pavlik isnt much of an opponent even though he in the RING middle weight champion and he won it by stopping the guy that beat Joe's best oppenent to date, twice.

    He fought guys like Kessler and Lacy and who hadnt accomplished as much as Kelly and certainly havent done much of anything since they fought as well. I mean Lacy just barely got by Manfredo and I have no idea what happend to Kessler. LAST I heard he turned HBO and Miranda down...

    Look at what his opponents have accomplished themselves. Have many gone on to be World champs (not just titleists) or beaten anyone of note?

    The truth is... we will never know.

    There is absolutely no way we can tell whether Calzaghe has simply destroyed 40+ of the best fighters to set foot on our planet or whether they were simply average. Joe Calzaghe is simply that much better than his brilliant nearest rivals. The gulf between Calzaghe and the all time P4P number two is HUGE.

    Pavlik has 2 wins over a vastly overrated Taylor - a man who should really have 6 losses on his sheet, and that is all. Now you think that is ultimately great, and then you dis what Calzaghe has done.

    Maybe you should just watch fights, and turn off boxrec, then you will see that Pavlik is 2 classes down to Calzaghe. Kessler would obliterate Pavlik.
