I wouldnt turn down a world title for a fight with a perennial nobody like Miranda. No one in their right mind would.

The guy was not a bad boxer when he was coming up as a prospect. He moved away from it a bit, and fell in love with his power, but he still had more talent than that bar room brawler and didn't have a horrible chin either.

The Miranda win is more on a level with Joe's wins over the likes of Sheika, Veit or Starie. Actuallly maybe a bit below, those guys have at least beaten people that acheived things. What is Miranda's best win? A shot to **** Eastman? On second thoughts its about on the level of Bika at most.

 

Yeah, he hasn't ko'd him yet. Who cares if he doesn't ko Hop. The math in boxing doesn't mean Pav will ko Cal lol...Pav has only beaten Taylor, and he was overrated. He never distanced himself from the pack. Taylor drew with Wink, did he really beat Hop. Pav fighting and older Cal is a fight I want to see, but I'd rather see Pav-Abraham because I think Abraham can ko Pav.

 

OK, your last bit I fully agree with but Calzaghe was widely expected to lose to Lacy....or did you predict a JC victory?

 

Looking at the wins neither guy proved to be what many people claimed they were. Calzaghe and Pavlik both beat seven shades of **** out of a crude slugger, and neither has done anything since then. That's my point.

 

He's basically saying PAv should pad his resume. Get some more wins against top guys. Cal fights nothing like he did when he was younger. I don't know why Pav wants to fight an old man anyway. He should fight some of the guys at 168 because that division is heating up.

 

Ah but Lacy had won a world title.. something Miranda is never likely to, he just isnt of that level. Though people hate to admit it now, Lacy was.
