Has Joke Calslappy's opponents been nobodies? Or does he just make them look like ..

Certainly Hopkins style takes away alot of the deficits of higher age. He is very difficult to fight against, and therefore has many of his fights in the last 5-6 years been very close, despite him lacking stamina.

There was nothing more for Calzaghe to do at 168 after beating Kessler. Kessler was head and should above the rest. He could have rematched Kessler in Denmark, but chose to move up(because he is really a LHW now and has been for a while). And he now has the upper hand concerning getting a fight vs Roy and Hopkins - they need him more than he needs them. They are faded and defeated stars, Calzaghe is top of the world and p4p no. 2. So the tables have been turned. And they still generate alot of money.

Yes, that could be it, that he wanted the road of least resistance for a long long time, but I think we should put Warrens name in there instead. He made good money on Calzaghe for doing this - and Calzaghe for some reason didn't doubt that was a good road to take. Maybe he liked his comfort zone too.

He should have lost to smaller and featherfisted Spinks and Winky. At least one of the fights vs Hopkins should have had him on the losing end. He looked bad against Spinks and Ouma.

I don't care who you support, when you type the kind of **** you did in your last post you're going to get called on it. Defending Calslappys career decisions puts you right in the firing line my son :good

I don't think he came anywhere near to losing against Spinks. Winky was a close one yes but show me a fighter, any fighter who has looked good against Wright?

Taylor beat Hopkins both times far more convincingly than Calslappy did, and this was when Hopkins still had something left to offer. I'd actually like to see Calslappy fight Taylor if he gets past Jones because I'd bet it'd make the Pavlik fight unnecessary.

Joe's opponents have been FAR from great. Pure and simple.

You'd have to be a massive Joe fan, or perhaps (from what it looks like) a massive fan of one of the average-to-decent fighters that Joe managed to beat, to suggest/argue otherwise.

I'm equally sure he goes to bed and sleeps soundly because a berk like you is on here defending him. I'm sure you had a point somewhere in your mind, though.

Has Calzaghe ever been as hurt as Pavlik was in round 2 vs. Taylor #1? I don't think so.

The simple fact is he's never been hit that hard, thanks to his 'avoid at all costs' strategy when picking opponents.

You still haven't made a relevent point.

Yes he's a multi millionaire, undefeated world famous boxer, I've never argued any of that.

What I do argue is that he's a cherry picker who's fought over the hill fighters and bums his whole career and conned morons into thinking he's greater than he is (if you need proof of the morons then look in the mirror, ***** :good )

His so-called 'final' fight against a shot Jones proves this.

the only thing about the fight is if Calzaghe knocks out Jones there will be NO questioning that Roy Jones has a Glass Jaw.
