Yeah he may love the sport but surely this does his legacy no good, getting beaten badly the last time and continuing with a fight against a guy who has never really cut it. Its sad to see.

    hes broke

not making weight for thr 3rd Chico fight cost him big, he was sued and all the money he made in the Hatton fight went to Chico's family

Poor fella. I think he needs the money, seriously. When i look back at his career, I don't think he ever got a real payday, not enough for him to be set..

Castillo is obviously a faded fighter but I think it just gets compounded when he moves up two divisions above his best weight. Even in his prime he would have had trouble moving to welterweight. Now he's old and the division is stacked. Someone is going to use Castillo for a stepping stone and beat him up pretty good in the process. Sad to see as I always liked Castillo.

jlc should of had retired by now. sure promotors and managers are known crooks and for screwing fighters for their money, but i'm sure castillo wasn't paid too poorly. he's just in need of a good financial advisor or an accountant so he won't blow his money again if he did in the first place. best of luck to him and his health won't be affected too badly. he would of destroyed lujuan in his prime, lujuan a good fighter himself
