After the fight he was in with Ortiz, he should have been held back until November in my opinion. But hey, the kid see's a payday, he's taking it, I can't blame him.

I would say this, come into the fight at 150 or so. Just train and don't cut weight. He looks to be walking around at 165. If I was him I would train down to around 147-150 and forget cutting any extra weight. Canelo is walking around about 185 it looks like, let him cut the weight. Lopez cannot slug it out with that guy, he's going to have to come in the ring and frustrate Canelo with movement, angles and speed, and he needs all the stamina he can get. Canelo tires later in fights, if he can get the fight into the later rounds, anything could happen.
I'm rooting for him, but its going to be a big challenge to win.

Another month would have been ideal. Lopez is a good boxer and so is Ortiz. However if Golden Boy really wanted to give Alvarez a real chalange they would have seeked out Lara, Bundradge or Cotto. I think they were under estamating Williams.

I really believe this dude is ready remember he took the Ortiz one on short notice and look what he did.

This guy is a workhorse, I believe Canelo will take it, but Lopez is gonna give him hell. He is hard worker, that puts in the work to get where he is at.

Don't count him out, hard work and dedication have taken some guys to the top even when they were against better skilled opponents.

    FOTY material

Saul's right gets loose when he's hooking. Josua can hook a bit himself

The way Josesito has been fed to Canelo is disgusting.Really, the nastiest way to ruin his career.Going up to Jr MW after a much bigger man,3 months after his war against Ortiz.Sometimes i just think about it and cant believe it.
I used to be a huge DLH fan, even after his homosexual breakdown i could forgive him.But now, i dont know anymore.

I'll look at Josue highly like one of the real deals if he puts up a good showing against Saul.

This is a garbage fight! Josesito is a good fighter but does not belong at 154.

    No, but...

He doesn't really need size to beat Canelo. He just needs to stay busy and not get KTFO. We can see that by the performance much greener Porter put on against Gomez. Canelo will sit back and lose a fight to a busy fighter. The key is not to get lulled to sleep and get caught when he explodes into offensive mode.

This fight is horrible anyway. Even if Lopez loses? He wins. If he makes it past six he wins. JL is small at WW let alone 154. IMHO Alvarez lost some respect for making/taking this fight. I hope JL gets paid. He deserves it.

what I'm hoping for. Canelo can be really casual at times and is susceptible to being outworked. And a good thing for Josesito is that at least his height and reach will be useful. He's as tall as Canelo and his reach isn't that far behind. Boxing/flurrying from a distance is possible. Stamina and durability will be key. If he can avoid serious damage early on, he could take advantage of Canelo slowing down in rounds 8-12.

Canela is being feed again. He is just a fraud until proven.

Nothing but tomato cans, taco vendors, half drunk or over inflated smaller by 2 divisions.

Why watch the fight? We know what is going to happen.

I really hope that Josecito pulls the upset!!!

    WAR JOSE!!!
