Has Juan Manuel Marquez lost more respect than any other boxer lately?

    It's funny.

Pacquiao is allowed to refuse extra testing.

    Marques is apparently not allowed.

    A) Marquez absolutely has new-found power. His KO ratio is high because he wears fighters down and stops them late on. Marquez does NOT knock people out cold. This is a very big difference. Can you quote me a fight or 2 where JMM has stopped someone cold, let alone someone with a Manny Pacquiao type of chin? Maybe Im wrong...

    C) Bradley has raised this issue (I dont think he's lying) and Marquez, instead of denying it, has claimed that Bradley is acting cowardly. That is enough to assume that this issue is not being plucked out of thin air. The only legal recourse Bradley would have is to cancel the fight, and be consequently blackballed by Arum for making TR lose money in the promotion (yes, Arum would do this).

The onus of proof is on Marquez to defend himself against these accusations. And he won't do it. In any case, this is absolutely sufficient grounds for suspicion of PED use.

Marquez is just as clearly on some PED as most elite athletes are and all who would refuse or make questionable statements about any additional testing.

    A) He landed a perfect right hand counter that Pacquiao didn't see and literally ran chin first into. It's not as if he was featherfisted before and is all of a sudden knocking mother****ers out left and right with single shots. He's always had good power as evidenced by the fact that he's had Manny badly hurt several times throughout their four fights.

    C) No, he could sue the **** out of Marquez and Top Rank for breach of contract and would win if they did actually reneg on what they agreed to, but knowing what I do about Uncle Bob I'd be willing to bet that the contract is very vague with regard to the testing protocol and who exactly will be conducting the tests.

Just the fact that he's a pro athlete is sufficient grounds for suspicion of PED use as far as I'm concerned, but he's under no real obligation to do anything other than what he legally obligated himself to do in the contract that he signed, and without actually reading the contract we have no idea exactly what that is.

Marquez has not refuse it, he's currently being tested as per the contract signed!!!
Pacquiao has refused and only now that he was almost killed is he ok with additional testing.

Marquez had Manny "badly hurt, several times" in the first 3 fights?....Really? He had him buzzed for one second in fight 3 when he hit Manny with 2 flush shots when Manny was in mid-air. You are being wholly dishonest here. And it seems you couldnt find any evidence of Marquez having one-punch KO power at any time in his career, else you would have highlighted it when I asked for it.

Well, yes Marquez is under no de facto obligation to have himself tested with an agency that his trainer doesnt work for, but his reputation absolutely IS under obligation. He is rapidly losing it according to popular consensus and you cant save him from this. Only he can.

Since they are actually running the athletic world championships, i've heard an unbelievable thing: Angel Hernandez, the known peds dealer that worked with Marquez as a "strenght and conditioning" trainer in his last fight.....

is also Usain Bolt's "strenght" trainer!!

I couldn't believe my own eyes....

...for everyone that still had doubts that Usain is a steroid monster.

I said he's had him badly hurt several times throughout their four fights, and he has. I just watched JMMs greatest hits on HBO on demand a few days ago and was surprised because I didn't remember Pacquiao being badly wobbled so many times. I'm sure the video is on youtube... I suggest you watch it to refresh your memory.

I'm not interested in saving his reputation for him. I just get annoyed when people make idiotic, hyperbolic statements like "his body has undergone an amazing transformation" and "he looks like Swarzenegger" and "his power has increased tremendously". The truth is he looks more like a midget version of Arnold with AIDS and he landed a perfect right hand on a guy who literally ran into it with his chin.

Why anybody would assume any world-class sprinter is 100% clean is beyond my comprehension, let alone someone who's shattered the curve like Bolt has.

I lost respect for Marquez after he hired his new conditioning trainer. Check his background, it's a disgrace!
