Both.. and it's way, waaayyy to soon to be comparing Ward with great fighters like Calzaghe, Hops, and Jones. Don't get ahead of yourselves here gentlemen.

And a note to all active fighters, don't take as much time off as Kessler has because it could come back to bite you in the ass hard.

Kessler is a cracking fighter, his opposition after the Calzaghe fight did not help at all and he has become lazy, no variety in punches thrown that i saw Saturday.

He needs a better trainer who can give him gameplan A,B,C and D, not just an A...............''oh **** that's not working, Mikkel.......carry on doing the same **** and see if we get lucky"

    You guys are classic....
Kessler has one bad fight and it's write-him-off-central.
But Ward is getting verbally beat off by most of you.

This sounds all too familiar with when Hatton fought Mayweather. So many die hard american fight fans complaining about Hatton's "tactics"... when the Hatton fans would comment on Cortez disallowing Hatton to fight his fight, the american fans said, "tough luck, that's not legal in boxing".

    What did Ward do repeatedly?
-Ducked at and below his opponents waist (every round)
-Stiff arm probed to keep Kessler at a distance (almost every round... warned twice)
-Whenever he was pressured or when Kessler was trying to get off Ward would clinch (almost every round)
-He punch on a clinch break (almost every round)
    -Charge in head first

Let's say this is all fair and well, that it really doesn't matter.... get that kid in another country where they give him the "Cortez treatment" and it will be a very different fight.

so what your saying ward can still beat kesslers ass for 12 rounds straight, but kessler would get the win simply because he's on home turf??

Who knows maybe this was actually a good thing for Kessler, it might give him more motivation to prove himself than ever And come back better than before, in any case I think he will knock Froch out, just don't make any bets based on my predictions cause clearly I suck at it, peace...

Age, injuries, 42 fights, and a long period of relative inactivity conspired to make Kessler look horrendous last Saturday night. Bute, Pavlik, and Abraham would hand that version of Kessler his ass inside 7 rounds. Andrade, who MK already beat 120-108, would probably beat that version as well.

Miranda looked better against Ward than Kessler did. Think about that!

Ward gets zero credit from me. His tactics were disgraceful.

I think it's a combination of Ward being very gifted, maybe getting a couple of hometown nods by the ref and Kessler having a bad night caused by inadequate training. If you train for Ward without a single round of sparring against a southpaw your preparation was **** srry. Kessler looked like an idiot when Ward switched stances.

I'm not really a fan of either guy so I coulnd't care less who the winner was but I was expecting a much more competitive fight though.

He was never that good. He beat a bunch of average guys. Mundine(who gave him a tough fight of all people), walking punching bag Andrade and uhhh, Sartisan, a German cabbie.

I think Ward declined Kessler. During the post fight interview Kessler gave me the impression he's willing to give up when the going gets tough.

I'm still waiting for him to point out where in the second round that "devastating intentional headbutt" that supposedly took Kessler out of the fight and that Ward should have been disqualified for occured.
