Has Khan-Casamayor been confirmed as definitely happening?

Is this official, or merely rumoured?

More or less, yes. Casamayor's team have confirmed GBP's approach for a fight, with the fighter even declaring "I'm going to knock Amir Khan out dead".

I'm pretty disappointed, as I was hoping Katsidis would accept their offer.

I was hoping for Casamayor/Guererro too.

    Khan should fight Maidana insted.

I'd rather have seen Khan vs Katsidis, but Casa is a decent filler while Khan waits for the lww superfights to materialize. Casa still has the brain and the artillery to make it interesting, though Khan will win.

Well, that's just ****ing ****. Another fight where Khan's chin most likely won't be tested, and Khan is fighting yet another washed up fighter. Holy ****, is Erik Morales next? May'be Khan can fight Jason Cook he's getting up there in age, and that would be a HUGE fight in the UK.

Khan wasn't going to fight in july as he just fought few weeks ago. He would of waited to fight maidana instead at around november time.

But instead, he's going to fight Casamayor in july and then Maidana in November. So why you crying for? He's just sharpening up his game and getting ready for the big boys (Maidana, Bradley etc).

Before Mallignaggi, Khan told Buncey he would definately be fighting one of the top guys from LWW in his next fight.... hmmm

It's just a stay-busy fight while Khan waits for the other top guys' schedules to clear. Don't forget - Casa KO'd Katsidis, and Devon Alexander has taken an even easier fight in Kotelnik, a guy that Khan more or less shut out.

Why am I crying? He's fighting an old, washed up, Casamayor who hasn't been in against an elite fighting in almost 2 years. If he's just sharpening up his game, how about fighting somebody that has been active. What happened to Katsidis? How about Urango? At least these fighters have been active recently.

If Khan fights a live guy next, all will be forgiven. In the meantime, he deserves some crticism. He's been handpicking guys since he got knocked out. He's going around calling himself a world champ now, he's held to a higher standard. Him choosing to fight Casa is very dissapointing. He's still young though, he has time to fight some live guys.
