With this win over judah IMO he overtakes Bradley as the #1 140lber, but is he worthy of a place in the P4P rankings? 1, Manny Pacquiao 2, Floyd Mayweather 3, Sergio Martinez 4, Nonito Donaire 5, Bernard Hopkins 6, Juan Manuel Marquez 7, Wladimir Klitchsko 8, Robert Guerrero 9, Andre Ward 10, Amir Khan
I think he's JUST outside it. I have bradley on there higher than ward and guerero. Zab wasn't top10 material. Despite being a champ in the division I don't think he was one of the top 3 fighters IN the division. On the other hand- he HAS BEEN in the top 10 or just outside it in the past... It's tricky But I have Bradley and a similar list which edges out Khan! But I see how you could come to believe Khan is in the mix.
Well Im not a big fan of Khan but have to be fair and say solid wins over Kotelnik, Malignaggi, Maidana, McClosky, Judah should count for something. Kotelnik and Judah were world champs and Maidana beat Ortiz now WBC WW champ, McClosky was European champ but I have never rated him and Kotelnik exposed Alexander before the Bradley loss. Looks better than what Ward has done to get in the ratings
I think Guerrero can and will crack the top 10, but I can't put him there yet. Segura and Bradley have to be ahead of him.
Not yet but he is top 20 now for sure. 1-2 wins away from top 10 or a signature win against a top p4p guy.
...a 35 year old Zab Judah that had more of a fight in him than a prime Devon Alexander in his fight against Bradley...
