stiverne, fair enough. we still dont know what level he is at, he beat what was in front of him. we cant know what the guy was capable of. the thought of vitali dodging him is funny though. two totally different animals with a history and cv to prove it.

but arreola was just a total waste of talent. hes no benchmark at all for anything. really a disgracefully lazy waste of potential

IMO wouldn't be a smart call for Wlad to come back one more time. He took more and heavier punches vs. AJ than in any fight of the last 7-8 years. Why expose yourself to that risk at age 42.

 

How do we know this tweet came from Vlad or someone on his team ?

That made my day reading he is leaning towards fighting again( if indeed it was from him or his team )

 

Fyi: it's far worse taking a sustained beating than getting ko'd quickly. Getting ko'd quickly is easily fixed with resting the swollen brain while beatings are taken from you never to return. Wlad went a full decade with absolutely zero damage. S Peter knocked him down with rabbit punches like 3x but couldn't land any real scoring effective shots, wlad went all the way to 2017 until he took further damage.

So really from 28 to 40 with nothing harder than sparring guys 20 to 50 lbs lighter than him and half his skill. He's a very fresh (as proven, most saw the greatest wlad ever last showing) he's got some fights left, should steer clear of Aj.

He should chase fury, avenge that embarrassing loss then take Parker out. End with either Aj or DW whomever holds all the belts by then

Sounds like Boente also thinks Wlad wants to take the rematch ( they even mention a trilogy (assuming Wlad won)) and now sees the fight as winnable, now that he has reviewed the fight and had time to take it in

Says Wlad will make his decision known later this month once he and his family get back from vacationing in Florida

But Joshua can obviously take a good shot because he went down only once, and even though Wlad is now 41, I think he put on as impressive performance and showed more heart and tenacity than ever

When he was hurt against Peter in the first fight, he struggled to survive until the bell saved him---- not when Joshua first dropped him ( now at 41 years old) he got up and Took control of Joshua in the same round ( and went on to drop Joshua and the following )

Seems at 41 he has become "tougher", for lack of a better word

Both Vlad and Jacobs had rematch clauses in their contracts, so yes, I expect a rematch, will see even more tickets than the first fight.................

 

THIS is what I think.

He could clobber them both and then have the return match with AJ.

It would be CRAZY for boxing, and if he actually managed to beat AJ, OMG, history made.

IMHO Wlad will terminate Wilder with extreme prejudice.

I have a theory that the older some fighters get, the tougher they get. My favourite dude, Sanders, was a little chinny in his youth, but by the time he retired he was taking bombs and fighting on.

 

Beating an obese and psychologically damaged Fury wouldn't do anything for Wlad.

 

He could give any HW a run for their money imo.
Should fight someone other than Joshua.
As someone said the beating he took in the 11th was brutal.
Can only see a slight decline in WK and an improvement in AJ next time round, AJ by earlier stoppage.
Doesnt need that sort of beatdown and would be sad to see someone like Wlad who ruled the division being battered around the ring if it were to go that way.

Could see him beating any other HW out there to be honest.
