Just wondering if he ever made this official? Any chance he could rematch Phillips before he finally gives it away?
I heard up until last year he was gonna have another fight in russia, but then i saw him and he looked like the old kostya had had an allergic reaction to a bee sting.
I'm not sure why Kostya hasn't announce his retirement but i cant see him ever fighting again but as goodnight said there was some talk of him having 1 last fight in Russia last year. I've also notice that Kostya's website has been offline for almost the last 2 weeks,i hope its not because of the thread i started on Johnny Lewis:yep
great fight for mundine......:good and the more i think about it.....the more i think kostya would like to have a crack. he must be half fit, training his son........and knows mundog is underweight......:-(
Is there any gain in it for Kostya to formerly announce his retirement? Hall of Fame honours are probably based on 'since last fight', I'm guessing. So there's probably no good reason for him to say anything. As far as fighting again goes. Everyone's got their price, but is anyone likely to drop that kind of money in Kostya's lap any time soon?
Considering tazzy has only 26 weeks to the year you will need to wait another week for the reply :hey
Barge is back and you 2 are flirting already.wait a minute he hates Katsidis:fire:fire:fire ****ing A Marcus **** Barge.
I noticed his site has been down since just about when Lewis's bio started to get a mention about his dealings with KT.
I have no doubt one of the main reasons KT has not officially announced his retirement is because of the lucrative nature of his business, and his desire to "maximise" his earning potential outside the ring. The Kostya Tszyu retail line is a big money earner, from the KT product line of boxing apparel, boxing gear, DVDs, and is probably even bigger in Russia. I don't agree with what he is doing (as lets be honest here, we all know his career is well and truly over), as in a way, he has been deceiving his fans over the past 5 years, into thinking that he had not made up his mind on retirement. I think we all know that's baloney.
