Gary Locket was a decent domestic prospect at light middle, 5 years ago. He had an all action style and seemed to have a very decent punch. When he fought a guy called Yuri Tsarenko, he took a bad beating over 12 rounds, and has never been quite the same since. I can't help but worry about him fighting Kelly Pavlik. Despite what people are saying, I don't think he hits hard enough to cause an upset. He has a very good chin, but marks up really quite badly. I hope I'm proved wrong, but I reckon Lockett will get saved by the ref, or pulled out by his corner after 2 or 3 painful rounds. I hate to say it, but this is a serious mismatch.
To be fair gary aint got much chance but he can punch very hard so there is always a chance of an upset.
vCash...wow you really cut me deep with that :rofl I had about 8000 which I just layed down on something. You see, this is the difference between virtual cash and real cash! vCash you can take risks just for the hell of it Now, since I am so unknowledgable you should join me in the prediction league. You are all talk, you know **** outside Kelly Pavlik
If you're so knowledgable, how come the only response you could come up with on the Zuniga thread I made was to make false accusations around a subject that was very obviously over your head?:hi:
I'm not 'so knowledgable', there are far greater posters than I. I am however far more knowledgable than yourself, which is no great achievement considering you are a fan of a fighter and not the sport since 99% of your posts revolve around one man :yep Aside from the few times I've seen Zuniga and been distinctly underwhelmed, the guy got outboxed by Santos. I've seen Santos many a time, not least when he was in all sorts of trouble against my fellow Brit Takaloo, before pulling out a competetive decision. No disrespect to Takaloo, infact I quite enjoyed watching him at his peak, but he just ain't very good in world terms... There is only one possible conclusion to draw from your ramblings on Zuniga, and that is you want to boost Pavlik's resume
Seems that Lockett was rotting on the vine for a while. I actually remember reading about him in BM in '02. I was under the impression that he would one day step up the competition but that never really happened. Now he's going straight to the major league and he'll most likely be KO'd. He'll come to fight and he might have his moments but in the end, he'll find himself to be completely outmatched. Not much else to say really. Does he have a chance? Sure, everyone does. It's a very slim chance though.
Garys got no record. He`s not ready. He`s got a good punch on him but he won`t know what to do against the champion. Its good for Kelly Pavlik though he deserves an easy night.
