I saw loads of Lockett fights years ago on Sky. Haven't seen him fight for a long time now. He's always seemed like a big puncher but that might have had something to do with his level of competition. The latest I've heard of Lockett is that he scraped past Ryan Rhodes. That kind of form doesn't suggest to me that he has any kind of chance against Pavlik, unless Enzo Calzaghe has performed miracles with him. What do you think, has Lockett any chance against Pavlik?
no no no,he doesnt even have a punchers chance imo,he simply doesnt have the skills to compete with pavlik and it may be a very short night indeed.round 1 or 2 t/ko
He'll get knocked out, and thats a good thing, all we need to ruin a potential superfight like Calzaghe - Pavlik is Lockett doing something stupid, like winning. Nothing more than a punchers chance.
If he hits pavlik with a bomb then he has a chance as pavlik doesn't have a great chin, other than that no chance.

Welsh fighters have had it rough recently Enzo Maccarnelli was blown away by Gaye and exposed as a Warren paper champion. And Calzaghe was dropped by a pensioner. Can Lockett buck the trend. Well it's hard for me to believe he can beat someone like Pavlik cos I have seen Lockett around Swansea and just regard him as a local south wales fighter - so he got very little chance. But saying that Colin Jones went over to Las Vegas in the early 1980's and nearly wan the WBC title and I seen him today.
this is a real step up in class for lockett, it would be a MAJOR shock if he pulls it off, for me he has a punchers chance and thats all.
You don't win 31 fight's by not knowing how to throw.. I'd give Lockett a Punchers chance to defeat Pavlik. (But will Bangin' with Kelly be wise, prob not) Pavlik should wear him down and finish him bout' round 6. Pavlik by K.O.
Doesn't have a great chin?! He has a bloody good chin considering the shots he took to the face from Miranda and Taylor, and only going down once. But yes, this is a strange one for me - I want him to win (blind nationalism) but I also want Pavlik to win as I want to see Calz v Pavlik
