ESB is so back and forth with Malinaggi

Esb hated him for his trash talk leading up to Cotto
Esb liked him for the display of toughness and heart from the fight
Esb hated him for wanting to challenge Gatti
Esb liked him for the display he showed against Ndou
Esb hated him for his display against Ngoudjo and Ndou II
Esb liked him for playing little Mac in Punch-out for Wii commercial
Esb hates him for the display he put up against Hatton
Esb hates him more after he came out and said he didnt like boxing and is only in it for the money
Esb liked him for the display he put up against Diaz and being vocal about corrupt judges.
Esb hates him for accusing Pacquiao of taking steroids.
Now Esb likes him for beating Diaz again more convincingly.

Pauli is a *****...end of story.

This post is a bigger joke than Paula Malignaggi's career.

He gets his ass kicked by Ricky f-ing Hatton (post-Mayweather KO). Then somehow magically and gay-ly rehabs his career by...

    ...wait for it...

    ...drumroll please...

    Beating a 5'5 lightweight who 2 fights ago was KO'd by a 36-year-old lightweight in a 12 round decision!???

Everyone who respects Paula Malignaggi should cut their heads off and die.

He is 100% Brooklyn. I have enjoyed his ability to dodge , avoid and weave his way by some opponents. What I did not like though is his inability to jump on a stunned baby bull in the last fight. He had the little baby bull stuned by a perfect punch then Paulie started clowning letting
Diaz last thru the round. His trainer should slap the **** into him for not finishing Diaz there and then!!! He is entertaining but not a boxer others fear because of the lack of a knock out history.

his career a joke? at least hes GOT a boxing career, while your on here typing comments about **** he lives.

God forbid someone respects his heart in taking beatings when hes up against a much better fighter, his heart in continuing in a sport where he has no chance of knocking someone out and has to know every fight he has to win a decision, yet keeps going out there and giving his best

oh... forget about the fact that that 36 year old that stopped diaz was one of the top 10 p4p fighters in the world (and went on to be a 'worthy challenger' to mayweather) :patsch

Boxing isnt always about respecting the numbers, or the titles, people that have actually put on gloves before can respect how far this guy has gone in the sport without having a whole lot to work with, and how he stays in there and gives a good account for himself, better then other fighters going up against the same opponents who have twice the gifts malignaggi does.

    I don't know. Honestly.

He's won my respect to the extent that he proved he's a better 140 pounder than Juan Diaz, who obviously isn't a 140 pounder. I also think he has proven that he's a much better fighter sans Buddy. And he's had my grudging respect for years for the way he gritted out the Cotto fight.

But I'm not fooled into thinking he's suddenly a force at 140. Bradley, Urango, Khan, Alexander, and maybe even Holt all beat him at 140.

What a load of clowns in this thread. :verysad

Anyway, I just wish Malignaggi would open up with his offense a little more. Not only would it make him more exciting, but it would help him when facing stiffer opposition. There are certain fighters out there such as Hatton who don't mind bum rushing Malignaggi with powershots because they know Paulie can't punch and they know he doesn't throw enough volume to keep them off. That lack of offense could cost him another big fight in the future.

Fighters like that are frustating to watch. Boxers who you know have all the talent, but don't thrown enough punches to actually get the job done against world class fighters.

I like him. For a guido he can hang with the big boys - and beat them. I would put him up against Cotto for a win if he does it again.

He has my respect. Anyone who gets in the squared circle has my respect, but he showed great heart against Cotto and Hatton, and the fact he came back from the Diaz bull**** to win the rematch...exceptional.

This guy said it best. Before any of you think about saying you don't respect him, reevaluate your own lives first. Well said kirk.

. My life is fine and I still don't respect his clownish ass. How you gonna attempt to discredit other boxers, without proof, as Malignaggi did, and expect others to respect you?

  13. Paulie is very talented. He has no power and due to obvious lack of commercial appeal it's amazing to see where he's got today on skill alone.

    + 1 for respect

He's ok. He's shown to be tough, he can take a beating. And he's got some skills. But he cries a little too much. Also trying to discredit Pacquiao or ANY boxer without any proof at all is just pathetic. I thought the showboating vs Diaz was a little ridiculous and unnecessary. Sometimes he can be funny too, or come off as a *****.

BUT, no one is perfect, so he's ok.

  15. If he could punch he might be a pretty awesome boxer.
