Has Manny Pacquiao Defense Improved since the Marquez 2 fight?

yeah as to what i saw manny has improved a lot.. he did get hit that much... although im gonna say that diaz and oscar wasnt that much of a gauge on his defense he was a lot better.. he box in circle side to side, he doesnt get taged on the ropes that much where he is week.. im gonna say that pacs best defense is stil his offense coupled with ring genralship always brings the fight in the center of the ring his head movement is always there..

 

I dunno about that though. He seemed to have great footwork and looked elusive in his past 2 fights. Now we wonder how he would look against someone with good timing, fast hands and someone who basically boxes? Would his defense be the same or would he revert back to being careless and throwing punches in bunches to score the KO. He seemed that way against JMM in their 2nd fight. But yes, he has improved leaps and bounds ever since the first EM fight. No more going straightforward all the time.

 

And Chimba, I respect you for your posts. Being objective and all. Not buying into the hype so much. For that I respect you.

 

He was actually. You could see him lunging and throwing punches going forward and hitting air trying to get in JMM in their 2nd fight. IIRC, this happened a couple of times but the round I remember where it happened the most was the 10th or 11th round.

 

It probably had less to do with careless, and more to do with fatigue and going for that little bit extra knowing he's behind in the fight!:yep

 

Behing the fight at rd. 10? You must be kidding. Even Lampley said at 10th round that JMM might be heading into the situation that he might need to KO Pac to win the fight. Pac was clearly ahead as of rd. 10.

And for you Makapili rd. 10 was when JMM's knees buckled. And if you're not blind you'll noticeably see that he Pac was blocking a lot of JMM's shots which is not the case in the first fight. And you cannot deny that Pac won more rounds this time that the first fight, whether you had JMM winning. That is the result of his improved defense and timing as he is clearly less agressive than the first one.

 

Shut up. Dont even call me Makapili. Watch the 2nd fight again. It was a close fight. You actually listen to Lampley? Do you even know how to score a fight? Basing a fight on the commentators shows that you dont even know how to score a fight. Do you even box at all? If not, then shut the **** up.

 

No he is Asian.... Asians doesn't have a good defense, doesn't have a technical abilities and of course they can never be a top P4P!

They obviously dont know what they are talking about. They tend to listen to commentators and then when you say something they would say yadda yadda said this that he was ahead when clearly he doesnt know what he is talking about and he has the audacity to insult you.

We can say that to anyone. Including you, me and heck anyone. So what's the matter of listening to commentators? Some are bias some are ok, live with it. Judges scores the card not us nor them.

How can we know for sure until there is something that is directly comparable to Marquez' offense? That probably means fighting Marquez.

Diaz was target practice. Manny's gloves were bouncing off his head like a speedball, he didn't have to worry about defence. Oscar was slow as **** and didn't pull the trigger on anything.

 

He doesn't need Marquez to know about his defense. Pac defense isn't so called "elite" by these keyboard warriors.... He evade them by his speed. So his defense is not "elite". But rather amusing.

Diaz was able to hit Manny... on contrary... hitting on the gloves by his so called "DEFENSE".

Oscar was able to "PUNCH" but on contrary.... he was hitting air because of Pac's mobility and darting in and out. So is evading called "DEFENSE" right?
