Yes. Better timing, conditioning, defense and Marquez still beat em. I think it was more so of a great performance by Marquez rather than what Pac did not do. Marquez is compulsive and we all know he moved up in weight fought all these guys just to get another shot at Pacquiao. Marquez probably fought that fight in his sleep every night while Pacquiao had believed his own hype and just went in business as usual.

He has a much better diversity in punches now.

I'd say his skillset has improved, and he has many more dimensions that just a straight left hand, but he still lacks the ability to adjust midfight by his own accord.

As the Great Pac-Tards would Say You have to Watch his Fights in Slow MO to see the Improvements!! I think from Now on!! (Pac-**** Logic) We Should Let Pac-man Fight and then after the Fight!!! The Judges should watch the Fight in Slo Mo and Score the rounds!!!
Shoooot!! Pac man is so Great He can come Forward the Whole Fight and not even Land Any Punches and he should win because he's the Aggressor!!!
    Or!!!
Forget Who land the Better Punches!! every-time Pac does that little Ali Shuffle we should give him the rounds!!!

He's gotten bigger, and he retained his speed. But the same problems still nag him that he had since he was a Super Featherweight. He can't deal with Lateral movement and counter punchers well. He likes guys who he can dictate exchanges with and when they don't give it to him he looks lost.

There is a reason matchmaking kept him away from Guzman, Raheem, and now Mayweather. He can't deal with lateral movement and counter punching, and he will get thrown into a blender if he fights Mayweather.

Intelligent fighters, I mean those with elite ring IQ's such as Marquez and Mayweather, will always be a nightmare for Pacquaio, if you can dicate the fight to Pac then he doesn't adjust well. Marquez has done it, Morales dictated the fight the first time, and PBF is more than capable of doing the same thing.

If Hopkins was natrually 147 pounds, he'd have a brilliant chance of beating Pac too.

I don't think it will be competitive from Rd 1. Pac looked confused by rd 4 against Marquez... Floyd made Marquez look confused and frozen. I think it's safe to say Pac will not be letting his hands go against Floyd despite popular ******* belief that he can just come in swinging and Floyd will cower in a corner somewhere.

Emannuel Augustus would make Pacquiao look like The Village Idiot.

He has not improved very much since his teens or his early twenties or his late twenties. However his team has much more dictatorial power over matchmaking now, than they did earlier in his career.

"Clottey will give a better fight than Floyd",ducking of the highest order!

I suspect the fight will go the same way the Ortiz fight went. Mayweather will dominate him at range in the center of the ring, Pacquiao will eventually force himself to charge through swinging, he will land much of nothing and might get popped in the mouth for his trouble, and this will repeat again and again, until Pacquiao stops throwing, at which point Mayweather will begin to walk him down, or does a Ricky Hatton and gets turned into a human pinball.

The catchweight fights helped Pacquiao out a lot. That is all.

hes been facing shot fighters and past it ones since he beat jmm in 2008. fighting guys like that will not make him better. he got a taste of his own medicine in his last fight when he finally met a guy who is no push over. they thought jmm was gonna be another past it old fighter. they got a wake up call

Yes he has however he improved in the technical area which would help him against the bigger brawlers he has been facing.

However if he wants play chess with a surgeon like JMM then JMM will always put Pac in nurse scrubs and tell him to take out the trash.

That is why I like Nacho. No bull**** no hype like Roach and most other trainers nowadays. He told it like it was. He loved that Pacquaio was more technical.

It almost makes you wonder if Pac should fight JMM crazier like he used to.
In my eyes JMM has been beating Pac wider and clearer as the fights go. The difference is Pac has gradually improved technically so one would think he would do better but that is not the case.
