If his last three performances are any indication, he is clearly at the apex of his skills.

he's surpassed his prime but i think it has a lot to do with Roach. If he wasnt with Roach would he have achieved what he has??

hmm says... he's still in his prime.. Unlike other boxers, Pac stays active. For instance, he's always playing basketball. That in my opinion is a big difference compared to other boxers. Just simple activities like basketball enables him to retain his cardio, speed, cordination, etc. I believe him and basketball is a big factor to his success. Couple that with Freddie Roach, work ethic, and his ability to follow direction during fight night............ he is his own success.. yeah i'm a ******* and also a fan of other fighters so I give credit whenever due.

Contrary to his age and the sustained wear n tear, Pac is still peaking at this stage of his career and is no way, imo, past his prime.

some of us pac fans need not be too sensitive. TS was asking a valid question. if morales and barrera were labelled past their prime and/or shot at age 29 just because of thier wars and ring age, why not ask it to pac who is now 30 and will be almost 31 at the time of the cotto fight. pac, like barrera and morales also started early and has his share of wars with marquez and morales. his style also would not permit longetivity unlike floyd, hopkins or marquez.

about the topic, pac could have passed his physical peak but skillwise, he might still be improving. we have no actual way of knowing this because he seems as fast as ever though, he slowed down a bit compared to his featherweight days, this could be because of the gain in weight.

I certainly don't think so. The man is still getting better. Definitely in the middle of his prime right now.

Anyone who says he's past his prime is just a hater. The guy has wiped out his last competition. He's past his prime based on what? Even if you make excuses about ODLH or Hatten being past their prime. Manny could not have looked more impressive.

I think he is at his peak. Looked still very fast and sharp in his last few outings, looks amazingly strong and is very skillful now. The best version of him i have seen.

Actually i think its the reverse, this fight with cotto is not as easy as a lot of people here make it to be. Pac should be the underdog here. But because of his popularity and showing in his last fights, i must admit, it makes fans think Pac can take this easy. Manny is as old as EM and MAB when people started saying they were shot, past their primes, etc.. Manny has been in many wars, and i think he is a little past his prime, but definitely still a high caliber fighter. He is still the man to beat, but at the rate he's going, he is just waiting for an elite, crowd drawer fighter at this higher divisions to beat him.
