Marquez is probably one of the greatest Boxing technicians, over the last 25 - 30 years.
Every loss he has on his record is justifiably questionable; His comeback, against Pacquiao (first fight), is in itself now legendary; The second meeting considered so close that many believe it was a Marquez victory.

As a career Featherweight, he jumped two weight divisions in a very short space of time and has taken on the best in that division. Marquez continues to win, emphatically, at the age of 37, against the young guns. The man is what legends are made out of.

Has he surpassed Barrera and Morales? Most definitely.

    Pick me off all day.

How did Norwood school Marquez then?

Please detail moments in the fight that show as examples of Norwood's superiority.

I think you have been drinking way too much ****.

Morales is the best of all three, and refering to Norwood and John , he was a clear loser.

Both who we technically better than him , not power punchers .

4.47 minutes into this video , dropped and hurt.

Previous to that the first 3 minutes JMM is competitive , but you can count on one hand how many punches he lands.

You can cut out that Boxrec **** ,

If I post something up here , its because I have seen the fight.

Much as I am sure my **** tastes sweet, I wouldn't drink it.

Morales never fought Marquez and so it's probably the worst benchmark to make. That said - Morales got horribly hammered by Pacquiao - something Marquez never has been.

Norwood was a master spoiler and the fight in question shows that.

John benefited from a home town reffing and decision.

ummm no, he didn't get credit for the knockdown which he should have...he just got points deducted for the foul...he should have gotten the knockdown and had the points deducted

I still have him third, but he probably passes both of them if he manages to beat one of the current titlists at 140.

Even if its a even race between the three what he did to Pacman in those 2 fights should give him the edge over the other two.

Kats, Casamayor, Juan Diaz were not gate keepers, losers, or anyone remotely coming off losses all of those were great champions at the top of their division and JMM owned them at the age of 36-37 :). Those were legit wins....

PAC fights are legendary and is one the only persons in this world that can equally match with the great PACMAN. This gives the edge to JMM

I still think IMO the below is my list... and this is coming for a Barrera fan as he is the one that got me into Boxing when I was young I liked him a lot and enjoyed all his fights.

    1. Morales
    2.JMM
    3. Barrera

JMM still ain't done, and with a trilogy ahead, or a move up to 140 he might be able to come out number 1 unanimously by the end off his career....
