Has Mayweather ever fought someone who had both punching power and speed?

Your mom has a good combination of power and speed.

    I disagree IB.

It's Judah's timing and speed that gets to people.
That is why he was able to knock FMJ down.

He is a very average hitter, maybe above average at best.
We saw this in his fight against Cotto.
He was landing hard shots on Cotto but the latter kept on firing back (even in round 7 where he hit Cotto flush) and stayed with him all night long.
Unlike say, what happened to Cotto when he fought Margarito (both with and without plaster) and Pacquiao -- he backpedaled as soon as he felt those punches.

You can even say that he made Khan look like an average hitter when they fought because the effects of their punches are pretty even on each other.

I don't know, man. I've seen Judah score more 1-punch knockouts (or changing a fight with a single blow, and then finishing) than Cotto, and over bigger guys than Cotto ever one-hit. :conf (until D-Rod)

Mabuza, Paris, JASC, Rangel, Rivera, Spinks.

I'd say Judah's left uppercut (and overhand left) is up there with Cotto's left hook.

So you are saying that after May 2nd, Pacquiao still will never have fought someone with great punching power and speed?

I'm pretty sure before I put the OP on my ignore list I saw a post from him saying that Manny was the only fighter in the last 20 years to have both speed and power. So I guess by that logic it would be impossible for Floyd to have fought anyone with speed and power.

It will be a challenge for the both of them, but if my life depended on picking the winner of this fight. I would have to go with Floyd for obvious reasons.

South paw speed chop chop gave him trouble but he found a way
Every here needs to pause and think a little
This boxing and your going to get touched some how some way may be a scuff clean shot hook or what ever and mayweather can be touched
So why do people get so excited when a boxer gets half a glove on mayweather and a little scuff but don't looked at what he gives back a clean crisp punch balanced delivey and his form is kept his feet never cross over all these other fighters generate their power from over extending and dragging the back and coming square this one of the biggest sin at ameture level, but check mayweathers feet he don't over commit his power comes from his hip its a perfect punch that why a boxer can throw 15 punches to no where but mayweather will throw 2 or 3 quality punches and the crowd will say ohhhh,
