"I was dropped one by a 115 Thai boxer. Of course two of his friends swung him by his feet." - Heavyweight contender Randall 'Tex' Cobb. Not verbatim, but close enough. One of my fave quotes!! :D

Haglers chin wasnt made of iron - its made from some sort of secret black ops alloy that the pentagon hold the patent on , who else would walk through
Hearns' bombs or stand toe to toe with the beast Mugabi for 11 rounds ?

In comparison Floyds chin is some shitty mild steel thing - a walmart tool steel chin. ;)

margarito level is 'greatest chin' level.

mosley hit him with 100x right hands before he wobbled
mayweather basically wobbled in 1/2 shots

i think mayweather has a solid chin, but it is not granite or 'greatest ever' level.

He has a pretty good chin, but his defence is so great he is rarely caught flush. However, when he has been I think it's more a case of surprise rather than him ever looking all that likely to go down. Having fantastic defence and a pretty solid chin is a great combination for a fighter to have though. Hagler is the epitomy of an Iron Chinned Warrior. Team Elite should have made him the central character in their film, not Vitali imho!

    Typical.

People saying Floyd has a shaky chin because he was hurt by Mosley dont know **** about boxing. And typically its the same muther****ers saying the same dumb**** in other threads.

Lots of welterweights took lots of flush shots from Mosley and didn't wobble. DLH never was even close to going down, and Shane hit him with everything he had. His stoppages of Vargas, Mayorga and Margarito were accumulation stoppages, and Cotto took his best and beat him.

Mosley is not a power puncher at 147.

Mayweather has a good chin but not great. His defense is amazing though so it rarely gets tested.

Margs took Shane's best shots for 8 round prior to wobbling.

Cotto managed to take Shane's power better as well.

Mayweather has a decent chin but its how quick he recovers that is special and his defence gives him those extra vital seconds you need.

2:40 of the video, 154lb Oscar De La Hoya catches Floyd with a right hand flush with Floyd coming off the ropes. Floyd smiles.

He's got a decent chin but I wouldn't go comparing it to Hagler's or La Motta's chin any time soon. His defensive skill has prevented his chin being tested all that much, even when he gets hit it isn't always a clean shot since he's rolling and moving his head.

Shane is a good puncher who hit him clean and hurt him and had him struggling momentarily but he was able to recover, Corley hurt him to a lesser extent and he got through it no problem. That is good but not comparable to Hagler who pretty much walked through Hearns' right hands without being rocked.

To summarise, decent chin but it isn't Hagler-esque.
