    Simple Yes/No answer
Has Mayweather Jr's legacy taken a serious Blow?
By having both Pac & Cotto fighting eachother first.
(Will a fight vs. either ever be as big as it could have before hand)

Bigger than a Cotto fight in 07/08?
Bigger than a Pacquaio fight in '09?

Cotto was never in line for a Floyd fight until he beat Mosley but by that time. Mayweather had already stated he was going to take time off.

No . . . at least not yet. The present antagonism is him fighting a smaller opponent coming from the lower weigh class but highly rated (2) . . . I'll give it to him for now because this is a comeback fight after a long inactivity . . . but if he doesn't fight a real welter in his next fights then he's ****ed up.

    Good stuff.
Should the winner of the Pac/Cotto fight deserve more than 50/50 Vs. PBF?
(Should JMM not stop first him that is...)

    Why not Cotto?
(IMO, Manny would deserve more than 50/50 right now.)

MC with a win over Pac would be more value than PBF in '09, IMO.

How can a fighters legacy be damaged by two fighters that he has never faced agreeing to fight each other in the future? :?

Please....Don't you understand Arum wanted Cotto nowhere near Floyd before the retirement. Cotto has a better chance of beating Pac. Styles make fights.

Floyd has the easy option here - he's the big ole bad undefeated fighter hanging over both these guys, he will get the winner and the winner will be a far bigger fight than it is currently.

In the mean time, he beats JMM who will likely continue to make waves at 140 afterwards and he can always point at the fact that the big names that Paq beat at 147 are names he beat first.

I don't think so. He took the fight at a catch weight. Therefore if he wins. he fought a guy shouldn't be there.
