I am a huge kevin Mitchell fan very humble guy got bags of talent and can certainly bang at the weight and loves a war, but his 2 previously world title fights have me worried. Do you think he is a better fighter now than when he fought for 2 world titles before? his form going into this fight is very good but I just have a horrible feeling that he might just come up a bit short again for whatever reason I really hope im wrong if he fights to form he has a great chance of winning he has the quality does he have the big fight mentality??

Hope he does it and as u said he has the skills and power but i worry about his chin. Kastidis could bang so no real shame but burns is a light puncher and that concerns me a lot

its always been his mentality that's been a worry for me, maybe with age etc, he's improved, he seems to have a more settled private life at present too which is always a help.

boxing talent wise I think he's got it, mentally there's a question mark which he'll hopefully answer come the 30th

Tony Sims has helped lots I think, he makes his fighters train very hard. Seems much more focused these days

I hope he pulls it off, he has the talent, but something seems to be missing.

Lets hope he puts it together, his performance against Maduma, a dangerous fighter, was very good.

Not sure about him being humble being a Londoner I've heard plenty of stories about him being up himself when out for the night, giving it the big I am and getting wasted. It takes quite an ego to do that when you know you're going to have to fight world class opponents in the coming weeks.

Although that is all hearsay I guess and he does seem settled now.

Nice to hear. It's not only bad things I've heard it has to be said. My mate Tom definitely met him in Nando's at Mile End shortly after the Katsidis loss and said he was a good bloke and they had a brief chat about West Ham.

On the other hand I've had less trustworthy sources say they've seen him put a rolex behind the bar for a tab not long before a fight.

I'd love to see it, his career's been a bit of a disappointment so far and if he doesn't win a world title then full of regrets. With the amount of talent he has it's ridiculous that he's never held a strap.

It's also been far too long since East London has had a champion. During my dad's generation there were loads, Magri, Stracey, Marsh.
