He was so clearly dominant at cruiserweight and p4p punching power is up there with the best but he is just not quite big enough at heavyweight. It's like he is stuck in limbo or catch weight. It's a case of what could of been.

You make good points, but I don't think that nature has been unkind to Haye. P4P David Haye was one the most elusive and explosive boxers ever. He should've stayed at cruiserweight and cemented his legacy there instead of chasing money fights at HW where he was simply too small to compete.

He was no smaller than Holyfield. He beat the biggest boxer in history. Fury chased him into retirement. He was beaten easily by klitchko even though he said he was going to decapitate the K Bros. He beat two old fat journeyman. A man who never had a heart audley harrison. His only good win was the KO of chisora.

Haye is the most overated fighter on this boxing forum.

6'3 215lbs do you think steve cunningham is complaining?

Na steve is a fighting man unlike Diva Haye. And haye ducked him at CW.

That's my point, he had no one left to fight at cruiserweight, when Holyfield made the switch the opposition were nowhere near as big as the klits. It is just the sheer size difference.

Don't compare haye with Holyfield. Holyfield fought 2 of the best super heavy weights of all time. Bowe and lewis and produced some of the bravest performances you will ever see. Haye just ran because he had a sore toe and lack of heart.

At 40+ evander Holyfield exchanged more with nicolai Valuev than haye did in his prime with his catlike reflexes and power lol

He has nothing to complain about, nature has been kinder on him as 99% of the other boxers, so what if he's a 80's size HW instead of a modern day one?!
He has chosen the money path and milked out his Britishness to get filthy rich instead of chasing legacy.

Nature has been nothing but kind to him.

Nob cheese Holyfield is one of my heroes and I've noticed you troll all things uk but big up Eubanks. If you are a Brit you are a disgrace. If your American then they should distance themselves from your trolling ways

Haye wouldn't have beaten Holyfield CW competiton he has no chance against Evanders HW resume. Haye was KO'd by Thompson and was almost put away by Chisora. No skills pay the bills and he's lucky he was in this era so nature has been kind to him

Holyfield is a known juicer and should have an asterisk next to all his wins :deal. David Haye, on the other hand, has never been caught using PEDs.

I agree and this was not a Holyfield v Haye thread but the heavyweight scene has changed so much over the years. You can only fight what is In front of you, after Mormeck there was nothing else for Haye at cruiserweight so you have to fight guys 3 stone bigger.
