Has Olusegun got a chance against Matthysse?

Sure he is 30 - 0 but he hasn't fought anyone who's on the level of Matthysse, plus he's coming off a year lay-off, Matthysse is coming off a big win of Humberto Soto and in my opinion he beat both Zab Judah and Devon Alexander and is one of the hardest punchers pound for pound in boxing today, not to mention he has a granite chin.

Olusegun to get beat inside 6 rounds in an entertaining all action fight.

Ajose is a very good fighter and I still think he gets underated by many people he hasn't faced great competition but he has breezed through it and I think he hasn't reached his level yet. However Matthysse is very good and personally I don't think he has lost a fight so far and considering the opposition he has beaten in my eyes (Judah, Alexander, Soto, Corley, Harris) he has to be the favourite although I don't think it well be dominant I think he will just be the better on the night

Don't get me wrong I think Ajose is a good fighter as well, I've followed his career for a few years but when you look at his list of opponents there isn't any of real quality there, he's done what he had to against them sure and beat them all, but I think Matthysse would walk though every single fighter Ajose has on his record, not sure if I think Ajose would beat Soto, Judah or Alexander, Matthysse has fought and performed at the higher level.

Good fight, Ajose's got a tough task on his hands.

It's simply put up or shut up in a way, win and he can claim he is the real deal and no one could ever doubt that again. Lose and it's back to the drawing board, no shame in losing to Matthysse but it would scupper any plans for a world title.

Olusegun is good enough to win a belt at LWW, just not from the man he's unfortunate to have gotten his shot against.

I really rate Matthysse, he is a puncher but a smart pressure one at that.

He could be the man at the weight in time.

He is. Clear #1 h2h. Before him it was Bradley for some time, and then Hatton before that. (and Kostya, etc)

The only thing muddying the picture is if still formidable h2h powerhouse JMM stays at the weight, but I believe his Pacquiao chase is taking him back up to WW.

Marquez vs Matthysse is a much more interesting fight than Pacquiao vs Marquez 4!

    Marquez would stop Matthysse.

That stalking style with medium workrate would play right into the old man's hands.

Matthysse would still execute Olusegun though.

    :nod

Marquez vs. Matthysse for the WBO, with a co-feature of Olusegun vs. Judah in an IBF final eliminator for the right to face Peterson. :good

Then the WBO and IBF champs (whoever they are when the dust settles from all that) enter a unification round-robin with Garcia.
