Love the faith. I know its a cliche but the AMs is a different sport not to mention that it seems to me that Matthysse continued developing as a fighter where as Maidana became obsessed with his power. I simply haven't seen nearly enough of Olusegun to comment on his chances but am very excited for this fight.
Its unfortunate that Ajose's shot has come against Matthysse who'll walk all over him. He would've had a good chance against either Garcia or Morales
Ajose is totally over hyped because so few people have seen him. He has shown no evidence of what Olu suggests he can do. He is in for a torrid time against Lucas, who has mixed with much better fighters.
I absolutely agree that Matthyse has developed into much better fighter than Maidana. Matthyse is not some crude puncher fighter.he has high technical skills as well. I would pick him over any other 140 pounder. He is a better fighter than Garcia and Amir Khan.
When Ajose wins I trust you will give him his props and kudos and appreciate him as a great fighter. The fact Ajose has taken this fight which he did not have to frankly should tell you some things.
I think Ajose has got a great shot here. I think he will stop Matthyse late on, or failing that dominate late on to secure a points win.
Yes. Matthyse just the latest in a long line of punchers waiting to get his pants pulled down by a hard man who can box. There are some guys I respect on here who rate the man, and I concede his is a good fighter. But he's got legions of "fan's" who give it the "no one can handle his power, matthyse will brutally ko this guy" Well, Old, shot, glass jawed Judah handled his power pretty well. just before getting battered by Khan I like the over, straddled against Olegusun just to win the fight. But just consider that a second opinion, from a complete stranger, online.
If he wins, of course. Who the hell else was Ajose going to fight? This is the first time he'll have actually faced someone near world class.
Hes definitely heavy handed if not an explosive puncher. IMO Judah crumbled mentally in the Khan fight not physically and I don't remember him being "battered".
The opinion you follow should be your own. just consider this to be a second opinion, from a complete stranger, online.
It is certainly not for lack of trying on the part of Ajose. Ajose has already won the final eliminator as is the mandatory contender. Frankly this should be for the full WBC title not interim. When he beats Matthyse no more excuses.
Its about time Olusegun fought somebody world class, for a so called long time title challenger. Time to put up or shut up.
