Ajose's a warrior, I think Matthysse is the best fighter at 140lbs and a 90% of the fighters at that weight wouldn't have been in there after 10 rounds of the kind of shots Ajose was taking, he showed an iron chin and iron heart, fair play to him.

First of all lads you will appreciate that I am highly sad, gutted and dissappointed the way things played out. I cannot disguise my sorrow. I cannot be here to long today but will be back much later in the day/tonight. However I must congratulate Lucas Matthyse who proved to be as good as we thought and did what he had to do. I am immensely proud of Olusegun Ajose as I have always. He displayed heart, valour and immense ability once again. However clearly there are lessons to be learned from this (which will be learned) and he really needs to be more active. He will not be as avoided as much in the future which is a good thing. Finally thank you all for your support. The dream shall remain alive.

Olusegun showed imo he is at that world class level tonight, no shame in losing to Matthysse at all.

I still can't believe how much heart Ajose showed, what a warrior!!

Also big congratulations to tonights winners. I hear Bellew stopped Miranda which is a great win for him, Klitschko won as expected and Andre Ward S.O.G. stopped Dawson ironically in the 10th. Irony I guess is not a great night for the southpaws.

Obviously I have congratulated Lucas Matthyse and which him the best in the future.

:good Hope your mans ok he showed his heart tonight.
Too true the guy is tough as, even the knockdown he was straight back up and way behind on the cards didn't try and milk the obviously accidental foul. He's made me a fan a class act.

Your man showed he's an absolute warrior. Had alot of respect for him before but that has increased tenfold.:good On a side note surely Matthyse is the number 1 at 140?

Thank you. I think after this fight there is no doubt that Olusegun Ajose. Is world class. Lucas Matthyse is every bit as good as we believed. Matthyse is clearly the best fighter in the world at 140 pounds. He punches are really something. I have always known Ajose has a chin and heart. He has won respect with this defeat. Whilst massively disappointed let's make it abundantly clear no excuses whatsoever. Ajose shall remain in the ratings and fight for a world title again.

Thank you Sir. Ajose is fine obviously very disappointed. Feels there was a better performance in him but gives full credit to Matthyse who did so well. Matthyse is also a class act. He commended Ajose strength and power. Never seen anyone walk through Ajose's firepower.

Yes Matthyse is the best at 140 pounds right now. In fact I told Ajose and his trainer in July in Nigeria that Matthyse was the toughest opponent out there and better than the current world champions.

Gutted for Ajose, but there is no shame in the manner of his defeat.

He has been treated badly by the sport, but strangely his first defeat may open more doors for him. Hope this is the case.

He certainly did Steve. Thanks. He will be back. Great fighters come back from adversity and he is determined to come back make amends and win the world title. Inactivity has not helped.

Yes he has been treated badly by the sport which is well documented. Maybe the other contenders who have avoided him may now fancy it. I guess that is the positive from our disappointment.
