Get out of here with the hate reply, the only reason your saying this **** or even bringing it up is to discredit the fact that DLH never looked for an easy way out, he could have cherry picked and retired undefeated like your boy did but he chose not to, which is exactly the reason he has the money he has today and why Floyds money doesnt even come close.

The fans will pay to see fighters consitantly fight the best and Oscar has done that win or lose the man was always willing to fight anybody that was there.

I think Duran has an overall better resume than ODLH. Oscar lost most of his most meaningful fights - Trinidad (arguable, of course), Hopkins, Mosley, and Mayweather. His early victories - against Camacho, Chavez, and Whitaker.....these guys were past it. Tommy Hearns fought more great prime fighters than De La Hoya.

    Gonzalez
    Paez
    Ruales
    Leija
    Molina
    Carr
    Castillejo
    ect....

His resume is leaps and bounds above everyone else in his era.

Oscar De La Hoya won more of his biggest fights than Duran did.:good Not only that, but he never lost to subpar competition like Duran did either.

Top10 in that aspect. You have to count guys like Hearns, Leonard, Charles, etc.

There is no way that the above list "wipes the floor" with this:

    Pacquiao
    Mayweather Jr.
    Hopkins
    Mosley
    Vargas
    Trinidad
    Quartey
    Chavez
    Whitaker
    Hernandez

Not sure thats correct. Of his "big fights" Oscar lost to Pacquaio, Mayweather, Hopkins and Mosley once. He was robbed against Mosley in the 2nd fight, was unlucky to not to get the 'w' against Tito, edged wins over Quartey, Sturm and Whitaker, beat Hernandez, Campas, Camacho and Chavez twice and also knocked out Vargas, Gatti and Mayorga.

In the modern era 1990 onwards Oscar has one of the best if not the best resume in boxing and despite the fact he lost most of his big fights at least he wanted to fight the best.Which is more then can be said for Calzaghe and Mayweather.

It shows how totally biased you are, when you count the robberies as "losses" ...:rofland the wins as "robberies".

Of those 17 big fights, Oscar won 11 of them. You must have a warped sense of reality or very poor maths skills if you think that counts as "lost most of his big fights" :patsch

He lost "most of his big fights" if you only count the big fights that he actually lost. Oscar has been having big fights since Chavez 1, and he won the majority of them. But agree with the last part, Oscar always went for the biggest fights with the best opponents, dude fought 2 x P4P #1 even when he was old and arguabley shot.
